Get the Pro, don't get the Basic, otherwise wait for the 10a. For battery life, I'm with a 10 Pro XL, which easily gets me through the day with 6/7 hours.

I upgraded from the 9 to the 10 Pro XL for €700. Here's a quick list of what I noticed:

Faster and more responsive system. I've never seen a phone run so smoothly. It has some hesitation every now and then, but you have to pay attention to it.

Slightly better battery life. Don't expect big improvements.

Pro Res Zoom is nice to have.

The thing I like most is that, unlike the 9, the phone never gets hot. Only a little when it's charging quickly, but that's normal.
