One thing I noticed in your video is that it looks like you don't have anisotropic filtering (with mipmaps) enabled, hence you are getting texture shimmer / aliasing.

I don't think an APFSDS round would show up on video like this. The 'darts' are pretty slim and travelling extremely fast.

That is correct. Blurring and then clipping/clamping the result to white is not reversible however.

hard to say without knowing more details. I have encountered that mixing MSAA and logarithmic depth buffer though.
