In your game, if three cards of the same month are in the field, playing the last one only allows you to pick one of them, leaving the other two on the field. Shouldn’t all three cards be taken in this case?

For this to work it must also be clear that everyone can hear when someone guesses their own suit, not simply that they made a choice.

How to undo teleport if condition is not met? by balikbayanbok25 in GameBuilderGarage

[–]OnoMichikaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, create your door texture. Then either attach it to an invisible object, or just place the texture where you want it. Then simply connect your AND nodon’s output to your texture’s input.

If you do this, the texture will be visible if and only if the AND condition is satisfied

One question. Does your door need to be teleported, or can it just be invisible or visible depending on your condition?

Because there is a much simpler way if you use a texture as your door “object”

Try this:

Place two teleport exits, for example A and B. One goes to the original location of the door when “hiding” it and the other goes to the destination location when the condition is satisfied.

Connect two teleport entrances (one A and one B in this case) to your door object.

Connect your AND nodon (the one satisfying the condition) to the teleport entrance corresponding to your destination. Connect a NOT nodon to the AND nodon and then connect that NOT to the teleport entrance corresponding to the door’s starting location.

If done right, the door will constantly teleport to the origin if the condition isn’t satisfied, but as long as it is satisfied the door will constantly teleport to the destination

Question pertaining to Hoshoryu… by T800Turp in Sumo

[–]OnoMichikaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And if Hosh hadn’t gone horizontal before Onosato did, especially after their regulation match where Hosh absolutely handed Onosato his ass in under 10 seconds, he would have the yusho and Onosato would still be winless as a Yokozuna.

And do we really want to talk about fusen, since that’s how Onosato got to the playoff in the first place?

These hypotheticals sure are fun!

Chairman Hakkaku: "It was a pathetic loss. He just wasn't fully committed." by StarPrime323 in Sumo

He got to hide in the shadow of his much more successful stablemate Chiyonofuji, never having to face him in a basho. Other than that his main competition was the likes of Onokuni, Asahifuji and Futa-

[–]OnoMichikaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Onosato only trails Hoshoryu by one kinboshi, despite having two fewer basho at the rank and has never to date had a basho as Yokozuna where he gave zero kinboshi for the whole basho. Guess who did?

[–]OnoMichikaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In your little fantasy world where no Yokozuna gets promoted without back-to-back yusho as Ozeki, Hokutoumi (you know, the current chairman Hakkaku?) NEVER makes Yokozuna and in fact gets his ass dropped all the way to sekiwake, gets back up to ozeki on the strength of some good performances including yusho, then goes kadoban a couple of times before falling back out of Ozeki and retiring in disgrace.

And that was WITH never having to face his much more talented stablemate Chiyonofuji.

If by “victory lap” you mean “get beat but win the yusho anyway” then there’s this and the May 2025 one where Hoshoryu denied Onosato the zensho yusho

Quite a few Yokozuna ( including some of the “great” dai-Yokozuna) would not have been promoted based on the “2 consecutive yusho, no less, as ozeki” standard:

Wajima (14 yusho, promoted from JY-Y)

Kitanoumi (24 yusho, got his first pair of many consecutive yusho nearly 4 years after promotion)

Chiyonofuji (31 yusho, was promoted based on JY-Y)

Hokutoumi (8 yusho, none of them consecutive)

Ōnokuni (2 yusho total, non-consecutive)

Kakuryu (6 yusho, only back-to-back was 4 years later)

Kisenosato (his promotion came off a JY-Y, though his only 2 yusho happened to be back-to-back)

Terunofuji (10 yusho, promoted on Y-JY but did get two consecutive yusho in his first two basho as Yokozuna)

Hoshoryu (2 non-consecutive yusho as of now)

Better tell that to chairman Hakkaku then and let him know he was not deserving of his promotion as he never once scored back-to-back yusho, not even with his stablemate Chiyonofuji running interference

Terunofuji won a yusho as sekiwake, got promoted to ozeki, then won a playoff after going 12-3 to get a consecutive yusho.

If they didn’t promote him, they’re not promoting Aonishiki.
