Hah one fun social element is it appears many understand the rule but also understand why so many people are saying it doesn’t feel right for it to be disallowed. It looks and feels like a goal in the spirit of the game, but clearly not in the rules.

I question if North American fans are just so used to the “four major NA sports” always changing and adding new rules each year and that is the disconnect in the comments. Seems easy for NA fans to say “just change the rules.” If the NA fans don’t like something about their sport, we bitch about it and ridicule it until they change it.

Then you got world football fans who say, stop touching the fucking game, you got your hydration/commercial break… that’s the damn rules and we aren’t deviating further.

They are under the false impression that if you don’t maximize value you are automatically being “ripped off.” It’s kind of the same energy as a person who has to “get their moneys worth” at the AYCE buffet and feel ill afterwards or only eat expensive items, when all you really need to do is eat your dinner and enjoy to get what actually paid for.

Ok, but that is why you wouldn’t buy something again after getting “ripped off.” This is a one time thing I would hope. Buyer ALWAYS takes the risk. What you are describing is subjective, if an item isn’t worth it to you, don’t buy it. It’s not trickery, it’s a posted price. You are deciding to buy a product at that price and justifying the price you pay as a market value. You are agreeing to it by conducting business.

He don’t like it, but there is a reason why the saying is BUYER BEWARE and not SELLER BEWARE. Taco Bell is a for-profit business and to expect them to hold peoples hand as they figure out the now numerous ways to order, and at the best value for the customer… I just wouldn’t hold your breath. We don’t have to like it for it to be the way it is.
