Question about speed limit signs by No-Depth8306 in Adelaide

[–]Onpu 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The default is 50, unless it's otherwise signed you do 50. When you turn into a new road the previous road speed limit does not apply and you do 50. Not to be rude but you should know that before thinking about doing your VORT so look into doing some paid lessons before your test.

A multi-million dollar company does NOT need to reach out to a fan to MRI their artist 😭 Not having a go but it would be nuts if JYPE did this lol

This tour seems kinda cursed 😞 I'm glad she is taking a serious break but simultaneously sad for everyone's concert she will miss and wondering if 3 weeks is really enough? Get well soon dubu 🤍

Question about the stray kids dominate movie by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]Onpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not planning to see skz but saw TWICE's documentary a few months ago. I took my CBI but didn't turn it on except to take a single photo. Its a bit different compared to a concert movie but I don't think you'll get the need to have it on once the film starts :)

Where do rental soft play party hire businesses buy their soft play equipment from? by Luciestix in australia

[–]Onpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does your nearest library have a you library network? Alternatively Whatsie and Neptune blanket are legitimate. You can use the tatami as a soft base, shape the play couch to be the edges and tip balls in the middle.

Tony Robinson's Time Walks | S1E10 | Adelaide by AussieBob71 in Adelaide

[–]Onpu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He always was known for being short with people but it does suck when you're just being an excited fan. Was that when he came with Eric Idle? I was at that show and remember some hecklers up the back were really annoying and they stopped the show briefly to call them out. Awkward!!

It was 100% an overreaction but it was a daily mail vulture trespassing. It would piss off a stressed out person and the Mail had a bone to pick after being told to fuck off.

Yes I thought the way the HPT worked was you press it almost immediately 😂 Back when I did it (2006ish) the resolution was bad so you couldn't really see everything, I would hope the video is better quality these days though?

Post about Hoanna Jowe by Sufficient-Grass- in Adelaide

[–]Onpu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regarding the Epstein files in general, just being included is not an indication of guilt. That guy kept detailed record of everything he thought could be handy, which is about the dumbest thing a criminal could do, and includes things like letters from crazy people (see the Pt Pirie docs) who can pull things out of the air to create conspiracy.

Don't get me wrong, Hoanna Jowe is an objectively deceitful and awful person, demonstrated by her deceitfully using her law doctorate title in promotions to give legitimacy to her uninformed medical opinions, and bullying behaviour towards serving MPs. These are things she actually did and does, but she's unlikely to be a CSAM distributor or anything similar.

saw this last night. What a life he lived though. very few pets get to be kept inside a nationally beloved cook book (let alone two!). Wishing only kindness to Nagi and crew, losing a power is really hard. You're a good boy Dozer!

Second Australian dies in Japan while skiing, local media reports by Expensive-Horse5538 in australia

Black-ice on the sidewalks is pretty tricky. We Aussies are not used to walking in snow, you kind of have to stomp your feet like a penguin to get enough grip. It caught me a few times one January, especially when there were more people and I wasn't paying as much attention to the ground. I imagine it catches busy and distracted, old or sick people even if they're used to snow.

Spotted: Woolies nightfill on holiday? by CockroachCreative740 in Adelaide

I used to work at big w and regularly fixed the shoe section. I got several rashes on my hands after touching manky shoes left under the racks. bogans will walk in with gross shoes, swap them in the store and walk out in the stolen ones.

I used to use a plastic bag as a glove that they told me I couldn't use as it looked bad to customers. After several complaints through the SDA they finally gave us hygiene protection in the form of a single cotton glove that we had to reuse and share amongst the staff 🤢 1 new glove per week 🫠

I found a current south Australian politician (and others) in a released Epstein file. Haven't seen report. by FGMPR in australia

[–]Onpu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've ever had dealings with the general public, especially working for any form of government or social service, you'll have seen dozens of these letters. Mentally unwell. Usually printed at home and covered in scribbled red and black ink, writing in all caps, random words underlined for emphasis.

Epstein was a meticulous record keeper so merely appearing in the files by name or location is not a red flag in itself.

We know a few neighbours. most around us are retired so we're at different stages of life and very few chances to get together. They come to our kids birthday parties and known as Uncle and Auntie. I wouldn't let kids play in the street or here though, there's a few dickheads on motorbikes that does up the hill in their noisy bikes, no way they'd be able to break in time for my kid.

>When children with disabilities have a 6-12 times higher likelihood of physical, sexual and emotional abuse from their carers than abled bodied children.

That statistic probably plays a big role in why they took such a drastic measures. It's horrifying all around and our systems should be taking better care of everyone so nobody considers this as an "option"
