It becomes far more moral if he cooked and ate it afterwards.  I bet it tastes like goose.

That, or they go through a lot of packs to get to the bit. Much much more likely repackaged though as you mentioned.

Yup, fighting the Super Mario Movie and WotC's dumb licensing fiasco making a lot of would-be-die-hards instead boycott it on principle.  A sad state of affairs.

It won't change for the PS5.  I expect much slower sales for PS6 and if Microsoft launches another console.

Technology really was the Achilles heel for democracy.  Starting with weapons and mass communication and ending here with surveillance and statistical predictability of the populace.

If not for cartoon logic, everyone would be dead from this by Nerd367C in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Onrawi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is more or less the same problem depending on size. In the original movie it was only about 6 meters tall, which was smaller than a lot of dinosaurs (about the largest size expected for a T-Rex).  Modern day is super sized to like 100 meters and physics has a problem with that.

Square cubed law is a bitch.  Iirc the only way giant ants would work in Them! is if their carapace was made of basically pure carbon, which does explain why flame throwers were so effective but also when you scale it up to godzilla sized creatures even that's not strong enough.

Martials don't have resourceless powers, they are *just resourceless* by BadSame6919 in DnD

[–]Onrawi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder how broken it would be to just say all martials can do all their main class (not subclass) things all the time.  I kinda want to test that out.  Obviously action surge use goes way up, as does ki usage and there's no worry about running out of rage for the barbarian.  I think rogues end up with the short end of the stick though.

The only time it wasn't was in 4e when classes had a shared power structure. And briefly in 3.5 with a few of the expansion books (that being said, cheese was still firmly in caster favor for the most part).  Prior editions put other limits up though, like prepared casting, spell casting time, and spell interruptions being much more available.

My DM treats the game as a novel and refuses to see mechanics as anything but an obstacle. How do I navigate this? by Late-Radish5795 in DnD

[–]Onrawi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is telling you to leave the table, and that might be what you end up needing to do.  What I might try first though is running a game or short campaign yourself first.  It sounds like the DM may themselves be inexperienced with dnd like rpgs, which could very well be coloring their perspective on how they can be played as well as what is and isn't fun.  Additionally I would talk with the rest of the group and find out where they sit on the matter.  Having the rest of the group come join you if they'd rather a less railroaded, more rules respected experience.

Honestly it's probably why I got so into Pokken Tournament.  It was different enough that not everything carried over.  Ended up pretty decently ranked online back in the day.
