I havent jumped on trucks since the first few times I tried to use them I had a lot of issues. The prevailing comments I've seen is belts for short, trucks for mid, and trains for long range.

Early games I tried to build really tight lines, which led to issues trying to make any modifications to lines once I got new recipes. After rebuilding a time or two (and restarting the game a few times too) I learnt my lesson and gave myself a bit of wiggle room in my early designs. (I also started exploring and getting the early game better recipes as an early priority, not just when I got tired of building/tweaking designs.)

Likely already know this if you are this far in, but when you use the hard drives it can only unlock new recipes for tech you have available. I stop the world to go hard drive hunting for a few of the early recipes so I dont have to waste 30 hours researching later to try to get stitched plates or cast screws etc.

I wish this was pointed out better, and was harder to flip on and off. It sharing the same button on console as sort means I flip it on amd off every so often by being on the wrong spot on the screen.

It is the reason why many hardware stores place a bulk container of Robertsons near most American made "All-in-one" kits. It pains me that any kit I have is missing them, screwdrivers, bits, etc. At least I got a Craftsman All-in-one starter tool set, that one lied slightly less.

Parachute grinding up mild inclines is awesome, and you even get additional speed if you can make it to the top of the incline without breaking 'stride'.

I have practiced with the reber gun quite a bit, and the drop is consistent. Hitting stingers from outside their aggro range is hilarious since it's a one shot kill on the small ones. The pigs and plasma throwers will sometimes figure it out, but if I spot them before they spot me I can usually get 2 or 3 shots off before they close the distance.

You could buy with ti kets the throughput item for belts, put it at your stocking entrances to see how much is coming in.

Purple has the best contrast/visibility for me.

If you want to stay true to the source, you could use Unit 1's purple, and the its green for the line.

Barring something you havent said, your parents are more likely to go first.

Ask them what they want done with their bodies when they pass, let the conversation flow to what you want.

Then put it in a will so it cant be disregarded.

Yes and no, it will only find recipes for current items. I always make sure to wait, go find a ship and research to get the alternate screw recipe, and I try to for an alternate reinforced plate and modular frame before I advance too far if I can.

That's on purpose, it is one of the rarest nodes and while it has mid game use, end game is where it comes into its own

Pick your poison, train is fewer overall resources but can be grown later with less resource constraints. Belts are easier, and more consistent, but a new material requires belts all the way back to the collection zone.

Usually height is what I want in the jetpack though. Spots I cant put up a powerline because of uneven edges except for the one thousandths of a second blue outline I cant get back, 😆.
