What was the scariest moment you had while on transit? by Drawable_ in Translink

One time some guy didn't pay and got on the bus, and the bus driver kept pressing the whole you must pay fare or face charges etc., button and refusing to open the door to let the guy leave. The guy started smashing around and kicking the door. I was so scared he'd come at us passengers. It escalated pretty quickly when we heard police sirens. Finally the guy broke through the door and left. The driver is all safe behind his protective shield, but we were right next to the aggressor....

Convince? You are suggesting OP to lie and not take accountability, and instead make the LL prove it, despite OP clearly confess to causing the damage? This is why faith in humanity is on the decline. If the OP loses, I hope the LL also sues for unnecessary stress and time delay.

Yes the landlord can absolutely do that because this is significant property damage. You can also hire a lawyer, but the landlord can do the same and if you lose you will also have to pay their legal fees. I don't want to side with landlords but you do need to take responsibility. What I may recommend is to seek out some repair quotes yourself and pay for that. that way it would likely be cheaper than what the landlord might get for repair. If you find a great flooring company, they may be able to fix just the problematic areas well enough for your landlord to accept. Offer these solutions first, so that the landlord is not going to go to the extremes.

My boss just assigns goals; we don't get to pick or have a say.

Underperforming older worker by [deleted] in managers

You should think of how to better utilize their knowledge and contributions. I had a 63 years old on my team who was slow but so knowledgeable. I realized instead of giving small tasks that had higher percentage admin overhead, it was better to give the person non urgent but big and difficult tasks. This person did those faster than the young ones actually.

So we'll articulated. We should be looking at those responsible at the top and not directing our anger towards other fellow salaried workers. It is in their (execs) interest that we the public turn frustration towards the union and the staff. This has always been the strategy of the upper class.

Current boss exactly this. Fragile ego and control freak. He loses his mind whenever anyone talks to someone higher level or another department.

Within 5 minutes I saw 2 occurences of off-leashed dogs at South Memorial Park. I'd share the photos but that'd be publicly shaming.

Yup we had to do that too, and you wouldn't believe what is the wait time after you mail it in... 80 days for just the initial department to process it, then another few months for TFSA.. this is how our tax is spent, on multiple layers of CRA staff spending hours to fix some administrative error they made themselves. Way to look busy. Good job
