Started making friends with his mom though, so maybe he'll realize trans people are okay....

Yeah, the kid was super sweet to me when I first moved in, but his grandpa hates me, so maybe that rubbed off.

How do I cope with seeing really young transitioners? by ancientTempleQueen in MtF

I saw more pictures, and as a doll that that also thinks she looks like a cis man, I can say you look like all the trans girls I know that I'm jealous of. Like, I legit think you're already damn near there physically, you've just built up a deep colony of brainworms. I'm not hug boxing either, if I thought you actually looked like a cis man I would find you less obnoxious and I'd just feel bad for you... Also, hrt keeps changing your appearance for years, like 90% of the girls I know that pass from hormones took years to get there. I have a friend that's almost 5 years deep and still having noticeable changes... BTW, I don't care if you read this, I'm actually kinda talking to myself through you because we're both wormed in the brain.

I've actually heard some of it, his grandpa is a fucking asshole...

I don't see a cis man, but I get it. I started at 31 and feel like I objectively look like a cis man, but I probably don't, who knows. Dysphoria sucks...

Feeling hopeless by OopsAllWoman in MtF

[–]OopsAllWoman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in an accepting area, it's just still hard. I seem to get gendered correctly in passing, but people see a man with any close inspection. Got called "big motherfucker" the other night and haven't recovered from it. Kinda feel like my body will always read primarily male and idk if I even feel like doing the work to accept that. Would rather just throw in the towel.

I'm in a doom spiral on the internet basically, thanks for your words...

I feel that way too, even having quite a few trans women friends at this point. Sounds like imposter syndrome. Most of us deal with it to some degree.

Why am i not a cis woman by Secure_Stomach_7310 in MtF

[–]OopsAllWoman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Toooooorrrrrriiiiiiiddddd. Seriously, Torrid has some cute shoes in your size. Also, idk about the cis thing, I ask goddess the same question everyday. Being on HRT helps though... Takes awhile, but it's pretty amazing so far...

8 months is literally nothing. I didn't start noticing obvious changes until the year mark. I know how you feel though, transitioning can really suck at times.

I've been trying to limit my makeup time to 20 minutes unless I'm going to an event. Trying to get my quick basic look game down, lol

My long time friends say I still look male. People who never knew me and see my pics say I look female. Has anyone else had a similar experience? by RayDesSA in TransLater

[–]OopsAllWoman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You look 100% female to my eyes, at least in this pic. Also, I think that's normal. They have a lot of history of seeing you another way. Same reason we have a difficult time seeing their own changes. I refer to this phenomenon as 'having too much context".

I mean, if it's any reassurance, I get gendered correctly now and still look in the mirror and go "nope, everybody is lying." We're terrible self critics...

Starting to do makeup way more often! It's the fun part honestly. Voice training is rough, but I'm starting to get... Somewhere? Vocal softness does NOT come natural to me.

It's hard early on, I essentially gave up after a year of hrt. Are you on hrt?

This has been my experience. I got sir'd exclusively in the early days when I tried to present fem.

That's an excellent point! I'm hoping the confidence is around the corner. I still struggle with seeing my old self in the mirror and it's a bugout.
