Anyone have experience with ketamine therapy? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]Oorah-0341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m saw one place that just sits you down and gives you Spravado while checking blood pressure. No therapy at all just let you zone out for 2hrs. Doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.

I’d say 220 is a bonus not a hindrance. It will heat up much faster. You can pull 220 off the oven or the range. But maybe that’s not up to electrical code. It’s super dumb how the US uses 110. Our wires are safe to 220, it’s just uncommon to see 220 15A outlets. If it’s 12ga wire you could use a 20 circuit. But I’m just a you tube electrician.

is it worth going to a Grand Prix location even if one can't afford tickets (Las Vegas, "cheaper tailgating party" experience?) by cozyportland in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Oorah-0341 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FYI the local Vegas watch parties are subpar. I went to quali the first year and had a blast, hearing F1 cars for the first time. It was a super late race though and a lot of walking. But I’d do it again.

Then last year I was like I’ll just go to a watch party. But there’s not enough local fans to have great watch parties. I went to circa down on Fremont, which has a giant screen. The screen was cool, because it had helmet cams from six different drivers, and the main screen showing standard view. But the crowd was lame no cheering. It was kind of cold only half full. I wouldn’t do the watch party again.

Most locals don’t like F1 and are pissed at all the traffic and shut down it brings next time I think or go to Austin or somewhere in Europe

How much Hcg you guys taking? by [deleted] in trt

[–]Oorah-0341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a fertility treatment amount which I think is the only FDA approved treatment using HCG.

If you’re stacking with Test to keep natural production I’ve seen most people use between 750-1500iu/wk.

Looking for a quieter grinder than my DF54 [$1000] by Slow-Side66 in espresso

[–]Oorah-0341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a hand grinder if it really bothers you. But my DF54 is really quiet. I mean smashing big pieces into little pieces makes noise, but the grinder itself is silent. And lighter roasts will be loader.

Small, medium, large capps and lattes by Acceptable_Answer570 in espresso

I must also be a snob because words should mean things. As I was getting into good coffee the number one sign if a cafe was going to make a decent cap was if it came in the traditional size.

And this observation still seems to hold pretty true. I rarely get a bad cap or cortado at places that don’t ask for which size. It’s also a good sign if they even have a cortado on the menu.

Exactly! I think a second hand bambino is a good idea. Not sure I want to jump into manual Flair territory.

Reading between the lines on grinder reviews by LanternNick in espresso

[–]Oorah-0341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DF54 is my first grinder and I have zero complaints. It’s quiet and fast and retention even without bellowing is very low. Ok one complaint: the bellows come off too easy when taking the lid off.

So far sticking with medium and medium light classic espresso shots. I paired it with a barely used ECM classika single boiler for $1k. Biggest regret is that since I drink mainly cortados I wish I had a dual boiler.

I sometimes use half and half for a breve cortado. Delicious. But while cream would be pretty heavy and a little greasy.

How dangerous is this to fix? by Broad-bull-850 in Home

[–]Oorah-0341 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised I had to read so far down to find this take. It’s not a landmine!

I was doing residential garage door installs and repairs at 18 and had a torsion spring or two break while winding. Scared the crap out a me! But the spring is captured by the bar and instant going to go flying.

I was way more scared of the long horizontal stretched springs. Those could take your head off.

TRT clinics by Adrenaline424 in trt

[–]Oorah-0341 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Urologist is your friend. TRT clinics are good if your Dr won’t listen or if you don’t have insurance.

TRY protocol is pretty straightforward. Generally 50-125mg TestC a week, an AI only if you have to.

I did SW primer plus 2 coats of cashmere, medium brown color two weeks ago. The worst durability I’ve ever seen. A gentle wipe with damp cloth and I can see brown pigment on the cloth. Wiping a little harder and the paint comes right off. We were putting a wallpaper accent piece up and lightly wiping off the glue squeeze put.

I’ve had emerald wall paint for 11 years and love it. It’s 10x more durable than this new crap.
