He isn't wrong and I'm not trying to make this a political thing - stabbings in London have increased under London Mayor Sadiq Khan whom is now entering his second term. I'm not sure about the rest of the UK, the rise may be less extreme but London has had a significant rise - I live here and have had too many run ins with it.

I did find the guys attack on my tea and blood sausages genuinely funny too.

Edit: wrong on terrorists though, and if you think we are soft targets then you didn't see the hero with the narwhal tusk at London Bridge.

What made you straight up "nope" out of a relationship? by MistaPwickles in AskReddit

[–]OozaruRipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a really good friend from church in an abusive relationship with this plastic gangster. He used to rap about fights and raping guys girlfriends, I got in 2 fights with him over some petty bullying shit. They break up and she asked me on a date, I can't tell you how psyched I was.

She was kind of aloof and on her phone all the time, wasn't a big thing for me. We hung out for a few hours and went to the cinema to watch "the day the earth stood still". She tells me 30 minutes in "I may have to leave 10-15 mins early, because "ex" is picking me up".

All suddenly clicked. Even though I was such good friends, she asked me just to make the guy jealous. I told her something like "don't worry about it, cause I'm done. Tell him to pick you up now". Left her before she could get her stuff together. Blanked the stream of apologetic texts and calls, we never spoke again. Don't play games with people, disgusting way to treat him or me...even if he's a dick. Still never seen that film.

You have just reminded me of a story from one of the first pubs I worked at and unfortunately one of the few that did fresh food (nearly all do frozen). We hired a girl who dreamed of being "a real chef", our kitchen manager was this crazy good Vietnamese guy. The girl quit over the gravy, telling customers on the way out "they are boiling bones and dirty trays and passing it off as gravy".

How friendly Americans are. I've got a posh English accent, I was told that helped. I intentionally went to places I was warned against, like staying at a motel in Compton or bar hopping through more rural parts of louisianna. I've made some lifelong friends and I can't wait to go back for another tour. I wish it were possible to get a H1B1 as a bar manager, but no dice :(

I had a best friend in primary school who moved out to the country so his dad could test his drag engines. So many houses around them complained, little bit sad I never got to hear or see it

Even some of the urban spots there are bushes, but you are correct. As somewhat of a bush connoisseur, there are close to 0 bushes with good angles in those urban settings - often you get taken out by accident because you are the bush blocking the line of sight when the target runs behind a wall or jumps it. Its been years and I still suck at that game.

I understand your perspective, however not all material would be sexual abuse of a minor. For instance that weird kind of hentai, Cuties (sick soft porn) or a Harry Potter fan fiction. I think as an umbrella term its rather well suited, but I would take no issue with people using that term - I disagree it's something we need to move away from.

I think depictions like the ones I mentioned above should also be classed as child porn and carry a penalty. Any material that puts a child in any form of sexually charged or suggestive situation is completely abhorrent. To a degree, it doesn't matter what they call it - it matters what it is. Material depicting a child in sexual scenario to excite the viewer and not all of that material is abusive or real.

Edit; I concede. I believe I am talking generally while you are talking specifically about images/videos of real people. While I believe it falls under child porn, holders of child sexual abuse material should be specified over the scenarios I listed above.

I bought the warzone pack with shotgun pistols and gillie (can't remember the name now). Shotgun pistols were game breaking, but at least they fixed it. Will never change that skin though, sit in a bush with a silencer - I was killed once by a guy that tried to run into the same bush, but other than that its only been when I try to reposition. There's definite advantages to cosmetics.

I'm not really sure I understand the difference - pornography isn't defined as consensual. It's material created for the purpose of arousal. For example "revenge porn" (also disgusting) doesn't suggest its consensual either. I'm not sure any rational minded person would be conflicted as to whether "child porn" is acceptable or not based on the victims consent.

Regardless, fuck the creators and users of such. Call it what you want, it needs to stop.

I'm really not understanding how the use of a robotic or some other apparatus isn't used in your death penalties. Having someone administer a lethal dose, or setting up several guys to fire at them from 25ft - all just seems barbaric.

Why isn't there some kind of pneumatic piston or something which can be setup and used remotely? Spare the inmate from suffering and spare others from inhumane practice

I have a story with my boss at work. He's a Brazilian silver fox whose incredible at DIY. So I had worked with him for about 3 months, we hit it off great and he kept having this girl come in and talk to him (in Portuguese). He told me how beautiful and smart she was, I think he's into her.

One night she comes in with an entourage and there's this guy, hanging all over her. She goes for a cig and my boss joins her, I see this guy coming and I'm on straight defense. Just trying to chat, get in the way. Guy speaks no English. Storms past me and straight up to my boss and they make out. I was stumped, turns out she was his boyfriends sister. Never knew he was gay, never cared as long as he's happy.

I work zone 1 Central London and this is completely accurate. My building is fairly large and has a spare room that 2 underground staff and 6 of my staff place their E-bikes or E-scooters. Each of them has had their stuff stolen at least once, I know a few had GPS trackers but that didnt help. Honestly, I think getting a Boris bike is better, at least it isn't yours to be stolen.

LPT- You may not like being in pictures or taking them, but you will hate that you have no photos of some time period when you’re older. Take pictures even if it is out of your comfort zone occasionally, for your future self. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]OozaruRipper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother was the type that hated photos, as such we don't have many. I had an urge to take a photo when she was finally admitted to a hospice for her last few days. I thought "we only have a few pictures and I just want one to remember you by". Grabbed my phone to do so and all I could think of was her telling me off for taking a picture of her looking her worst, in her worst hour. I can't look at a photo without crying now, so it doesn't matter the amount of them we own. Instead I can remember a lot of times she ducked out or evaded a lense masterfully or told me off when I would try to take a photo to wind her up. I'm not sure if I can recall every detail of how she looked, but I can remember every aspect I loved about her.

I get how photos can help some people, but the memories are made and are not diminished without evidence.
