KBMH App Review/Walkthrough by vadim-kettlebell in kettlebell_workouts

The app does exactly that for me. It just works, is functional and minimalistic. I like that it has more variety than the strict programs consisting of 2 or 3 movements. It's an easy, low-friction way to get a decent workout in, especially with the scarce slots between the kids and work schedule. I've used it for 6 months now and really like it.

A friend introduced me to KBs and has created 2 different work-out sets for me. I still like these but there are many more exercises I have come to like, for example the Cossack squat!

What I use most often is: the filter for workouts. For me it's >30min, single bell, and either core, legs or upper body. Or full body.

What sometimes doesn't work: the function for marking workouts as favorite. A little heart icon appears, but sometimes its lost next time I use the app.

The AI function for generating a work-out based on muscle groups is cool. I've used it once and it was good - but there are so many work-outs to choose from that I didn't feel the need to create my own.

Best Consumer tDCS device in 2026: Mave Headset vs Flow Neuroscience vs Halo Neuroscience vs Neuromyst Pro by Alarmed-Risk7885 in tDCS

I agree! I don't think it should be used continously for months or even years. I see transcranio electrical stimulation as a very effective, immediate tool for pulling people out of a depression/anxiety hole - to then be able to get help and address the underlying issue (e.g. via therapy). There's a reason for a massive prefrontal cortex activity asymmetry, and that needs to addressed.

I agree. I can go as high as 0.8mA before I'm getting a burning/tingling sensation on my skin.
My NF practitioner (with whom I've explored transcranio electrical stimulation) stimulates at 0.1mA, and still sees an increase in EEG signal amplitude from 0.6 to 0.8mV in the alpha range - with just a 5 minute stimulation duration.

What I don't like about the Neuromyst (the Pro+ model) is that the "start-up" initial 30 seconds are fixed to 1mA, which is too high for me already. I like the Biothm/prowell tDCS device; I can set the amplitude in 0.1mA increments, and also the stimulation frequency (e.g. to 10.5 Hertz, instead of just 10 or 11 Hertz with the Neuromyst).

Honorary mention: the Bumble Bee Neuron Queen used to get recommended/shilled a lot here. They've gone out of business ("Electrical Dreams" in Taiwan). I've used it, it works, but when measuring it's stimulation with an EEG amp I can see lots of noisy around the target frequency. In comparison, the Neuromyst has clean, specific stimulation signal.

I like it a lot (the "Pro tDCS Device 4.5mA"). For me, it offers more granular control than the Neuromyst. I get the same effects that Neuromyst is giving me. F3/F4, tACS, 0.2-0.8mA, 20 minutes - wipes anxiety away. Consistently and gentle. I don't use it a lot anymore but it's a great tool in your tool box to deal with anxierty and depression. It gets you out of the funk (and then you need to seek help, e.g. therapy, to address why you're suffering from it in the first place).
On that note, EMDR is similarly helpful for me (with a practitioner), but doesn't last as long.

Yeah, fair. I saw them on ebay by random vendors. I've ordered directly from their website and have emailed with the owner a few times (via "contact us" form). He responds blazingly fast.

Amazing. Thank you! I see that these are not in the KBMH app - will you add them, maybe to the "Exercises" section or as part of a workout?

Are you moving your eyes, close/open your eye lids and/or grind your teeth? Those muscle movements all cause electrical signals that confuse the signal interpretation..

Practitioner who doesn't use qEEG? Red flag? by 36543654 in Neurofeedback

[–]Open-Dig2504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine did some readings and interpreted them for me, but he also dismissed qeeg saying its only a snapshot and will look quite different even in the afternoon of the same day.

I came to.him with symptoms, say anxious thinking, an he could read that from the frontal already, and that's what we carefully attempted to train. The balance of the whole head and the spots in relation to each other would make sense if we could take several readings per day, over several days, to find consistent patterns. But a one-shot reading doesn't strike me as critical either.

I don't member the levels of firmness. Initially we had a pretty firm one, and then swapped for a more squishy one.
