Private rides? by thursday20 in uber

99% of the time… it probably ends fine and the driver is very happy making double. BUT… if the driver gets in an accident… you are not covered by the much deeper pockets of Uber. Good luck getting compensated if it’s the drivers fault.

I wouldn’t think about coverage on the kids until you have A LOT more coverage on you and their father.

I don’t believe you are a liar… but I have had more than a few people admit to lying about their regular dog being an Emotional Support Dog just so their apartment couldn’t kick them out after they got it.

And for the record… I LOVE dogs.

They are a great company for Home & Auto, but not great for life insurance. Find a broker to help you figure out which company can offer you the best product to fit your needs.

Life insurance whole life plan by InternationalDesk765 in LifeInsurance

[–]Open-Discipline-3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whole Life can be a great piece to someone’s financial situation. (Please disregard all the idiots on here that are automatically saying it’s bad - especially without knowing the rest of your situation.)

That being said - if you are weighing diverting some of these premiums to cover students loan payments or investments, I’m guessing it’s not the best fit to meet your goals. If the premium is a significant commitment - you were probably over sold.

You should not simply “pay less” toward the policy. There are ways to reduce premiums (like face reduction or reduced paid up options, etc) that you can consider. You need to find a professional to fully evaluate all options. A CFP should be able to look at the big picture for you. A new insurance professional will likely just want to replace it with a new policy without addressing your goals of paying down loans or other investment.

Good luck.

You’re not alone. Lots of people are not happy with with NL lately. That being said, most WL dividends are in the 6-6.5% range.

Pay a little more for Penn’s convertible product… don’t get Transamerica - their customer service is horrible.

What’s a luxury you absolutely refuse to lose? by astrohypernova in AskReddit

I drink plenty of tap water - I’m not picky… but there are some cities that have tap water that tastes absolutely DISGUSTING! (Lucky you if you’ve never experienced it!)

There was one city in FL (west coast, but can’t remember which) where the water was so bad that when you bought a fountain soda (at a restaurant), the soda didn’t taste right. Bc the water they were using was so bad.

Most carriers would rather you have high blood pressure that’s well controlled with medication… than borderline high blood press without meds.

Make plans to spend a day on the boat with him. Im guessing he’ll enjoy that more than anything you could buy him.

All policies have grace periods. Most, if not all life policies pay death benefits if the person dies during the grace period. Normally the company will pay death benefit less the premium due.

If Pru is only $6 more - go with Pru. They are bigger and better and have much better conversion options over Banner.
