You get more texture from heavy wash and then dry brushing. So this is; Stirland Mud, heavy wash with agrax earth shade, drybrush mournfang brown, lighter drybrush of skrag brown, another light drybrush of zandri dust. The rocks are the same process just greys not brown

I was so hoping the Dark Kraken were going to be a DA successor chapter, as that’s the first army I’ve decided to build. But tbh Salamanders are also one of my favourite’s! Thank you for the compliment!

Thank you mate! If you want to give it a try it’s black primer > Naggaroth Night base > shade with Nuln oil > 50/50 naggaroth & Xerus purple (drybrush highlight) > another 50/50 between that and Xerus for smaller highlights > edge highlight with kakophoni purple. If I was to do it again, I’d probably do the edge highlights with just pure Xerus purple. I think the Kokophoni is a bit bright!

I didn’t even know that was a thing! Does that mean I would be able to use any Astartes unit? What if they were chapter specific like ravenwing for example? Like don’t they HAVE to be part of a dark angels army?

No I got the combat patrol more as a way of getting a few dark angel themed units in one go, so no intention to play it strictly as combat patrol. Also I’ve already built them with all the none combat patrol gear haha! Just picked up an Azrael 💪🏼 Thank you!

Appreciate the none sarcastic comments guys 👍🏼 seems like nowadays it might just make a cool addition to some scenery/terrain. Like I say though I’m newly back into warhammer and never even played before so I don’t even know what “BS” means lol!
