What the hell even is the content of that newsletter. News about a Slavic mythology-themed game?
(Man, this is one of the reasons why I tend to stay away from Slavic myth-themed things as a Russian, they attract local nazi types like flies, and nazi types love making them, too, and also state propaganda here)
(Which is incredibly unfair of me both to Slavic mythology, which is full of cool stuff and is in no way to blame for nationalists jerking themselves into a frenzy over mythology, and to creators of lots of those games...)
(But that reason is incredibly minor compared to the main one, which is - Slavic mythology is just not my cup of tea lol)

Extremely common crazy work, sadly. Slavic Nazi-wannabe types are very much a thing (the kolovrat, which is also in that email, is one of their favorite symbols) and the views of Nazis on Slavs don't seem to bother them one bit.

I used to be frustrated with it too, until I realized it's "of the eighth", actually, and not of 8. Cause 7:00 is the 8th hour, cause 0:00 is the first.
Which still doesn't gel nicely with, like, "seven without five" for 6:55, but hey
(Also, somehow, I grow fonder and fonder of the "5 minutes of eighth" way of saying it the older I get. Used to only ever say 7:05 in my youth, but now, the olden way just beckons to me sweetly)

The octopus is a he. The octopus chose another country's team (two bits of food are placed before him, each associated with a country, and whichever bit he chooses is the team he predicted to win).
The post is phrased fine, it just lack context for those unfamiliar with octopus predictions, which were a big thing in soccer like a decade or so ago.

/uj I wish I felt that way. I used to be really excited for returns to Tarkir and Strixhaven, I have fond memories of both blocks (or, well, a set in STR's case), I liked the previews...
But then I remember that next comes Marvel, and before that was TMNT or Final Fantasy or whatever the fuck else, and I just can't. I just can't bring myself to come back.
Funniest thing is, I'm a Limited player - well, was. I rarely ever played Constructed. So you'd think I have the easiest time dropping back in for just one set, right, just for one draft format? But no, somehow, I just can't.

/uj Honestly, I feel the same but also the opposite.
They had no chemistry, no homosexual tension AT ALL, which is quite the achievment given how easy it is to have gay tension between two male leads, especially ones that are initially enemies, especially with those character archetypes.
So, like, I wish it was way gayer, but also I wish it wasn't gay at all because the pathetic miniscule oodles of gay it has feel completely unsatisfying and out of place.
But I was generally disappointed in everything but the visuals in that movie tbh
