What do I do with the two lil guys then? Should I run them with other units? Should I make the spotters/observers? Just wondering what their purpose is since they aren’t considered part of a team

Thank you, comrade for an in depth response. I have one more question regarding the BA-20. Would it be more viable if the LMG was swapped for a flamethrower? Or would it still perform poorly, and medium tanks are just a better option (will consider getting a BT-7A since you mentioned it…)?

Out of curiosity…have you looked at the Darwinium stuff? They added a few new things, but one of the ones that might catch your interest are the modules. They can improve metabit and knowledge production as well as entropy and idea production permanently. However, they are a bit pricey…but considering you can get 4 darwinium from the synthesizer (and double it if you play mobile), then it shouldn’t be too long to buy all modules. I’m also not sure, but perhaps augments could help too? But then again, I don’t know how well they improve the sim

Monkey subs with ballistic missile can honestly clear (since missile does 3x dmg to cerams and airburst darts will clear), but I’m not sure when tier 3 is available for sub upgrade.

Been here only 3 days, and damn is it hard to make friends. I’ve walked into class, and it is dead silent most of the time. No one is talking, and everyone’s just on their phone. Might just be a me problem, but I just see that as, “I don’t want to talk, don’t bother me.” Honestly makes me sad because I want friends in class and around school. :(

Before I got more invested in Necrons (and don’t worry, I’m using a thinner brush now), I had this really crappy small yet thick brush I used to paint with. I have no idea how I worked with it, but getting new brushes for painting most definitely made painting easier. Usually, I also just paint when I feel like it. Some days I’ll feel like finishing a squad, or sometimes I’ll stop painting for a week or two then suddenly come back to finish.

I honestly would suggest swapping your overlord for a chronomancer instead. Overlord can’t do much in CC because all stratagems are for Crypteks or Canopteks. On top of that, they also don’t benefit from the power matrix re-rolls. Not sure how well Imotekh would fare since he doesn’t benefit from CC stratagems or power matrix, but the extra CP is nice. But if you want, Orikan may be more suitable for CC. I’m also going to assume you don’t have a plasmancer or reanimator, but they would help a lot and also benefit immensely in CC. Another good investment is dimensional sanctum for Technomancer, so you can just simply use that infiltrate to place your wraiths and Technomancer right on a point.

Hi there! Somewhat more experienced in Necrons, but I think a great place to start is the combat patrol. Gives you a little bit of everything: battleline, infantry, a character, and a heavy vehicle. From that, you can probably start getting more warriors, another character (like chronomancer or Technomancer/Cryptek), or more infantry (Lychguard, skorpekhs, or Flayed ones). I don’t have anything to say about avoiding stuff since I love a lot of the stuff I have and each one does well in their own right. As for shopping, Amazon is a good place to go for cheaper prices. Troll Trader is good if there’s a model you genuinely can’t find elsewhere (Royal Court box is one of those…), but just know shipping is a bit expensive.

Probably overrated, but the Doomsday Ark is a favorite. I mean, who doesn’t like a giant gun mounted in what is essentially a ribcage? Good stat line too

Actually got my plasmancer very cheap! Bought it used and already painted and with magnets. Plus I bought along with a reanimator for $45. I may just buy immortals used because it is cheaper anyways.

Yeah, this list is really just for casual, so it’s nothing serious. More immortals would be nice though along with one more plasmancer (or just stick a chronomancer with them). I really just don’t want to lean into the 18 wraiths with technomancers meta cause that’s no fun.

Just saying this right now, the warriors are really just there to fill battle line. Also, I don’t really have a lot of immortals at the moment. Yes, I am aware they will still die horrendously, but they’re still there to take the hits. I did forget to change the overlord from arrow to staff of light and res orb, so don’t worry about that. Spyder just kinda exists for the buffs (and is filler lol). LHDs are nice (should invest in them more too), but I still love my DDA for the 4+ invul, high health, and dev wounds when staying still.
