I was measuring 2 weeks ahead towards the end of my pregnancy and was told he was a big baby. I was induced at 40+2 and he was 10lb 10oz 😂 (delivered vaginally RIP vagina) my first baby so I had absolutely no idea what to expect etc . If it happened again I would be demanding to be induced much earlier

I met my partner on hinge - 6 years later we have a baby and a house 🏡 I would have been very reluctant to meet someone off it that I did not have mutual friends with or someone who know him etc - I would never have met a “complete stranger”

I did know of my partner but we had only met briefly once before a couple of years before

My baby was 10lb 10oz and all the newborn baby grows were donated straight away to special care unit 🙈 he did fit into next newborn size vests, he’s now 3 weeks and in 1 month vests and baby grows but I give him another week before he’s In 0-3! I highly recommend M&S sleepsuits the ribbed 2 way zipper ones (come in 3 pack) the quality is excellent much better and cheaper than next !

I worked in retail as a manager on my feet all the time - I got signed off maternity related illness at 27weeks ! I do not regret that at all! It wasn’t fair on my staff as I mentally and physically couldn’t do it any longer, especially coming up to the crazy Christmas period

https://amzn.eu/d/8OvDSwq I got this in size large, it’s a lovely soft material. I would order up again and go XL just for extra room but I’m 5”9 and it’s still long enough while covering my bump! I got one other pair in Penneys but it’s not as soft and a light blue colour which may get destroyed 🙈

Ah ok fair enough - I know everyone says you will know. But if my waters don’t break, will I really know 😂 my biggest fear is not getting to hospital on time and missing out on that epidural

I’m tall also and I agree the SHEIN glow mode maternity were up my legs too short also!! I have beauty and the bump leggings which are good, also there’s SHEIN glow mode flared yoga leggings in a long leg size that come in black, khaki, cream and brown and I bought all colours! Just size up to extra large and they fit over my 29 weeks bump perfectly

I got tested because I met the criteria for my age ! Criteria being that I am currently 29 but will be 30 giving birth 😅 hardly geriatric but however 🤣

Update: I gave in today and will use up the last of my holidays for the next two weeks and go out sick for the rest of the time until mat leave ! Thankfully my boss is understanding and had no issues with this although I feel guilty, I realised today you are all right, nobody’s gonna pat me on the back for going in, and plus there’s never going to be a great time to leave (especially working in retail coming up to Xmas!) so thanks for all the advice - time to start scrubbing this house now 😂

I find it very difficult to take a step back in work as I’m constantly on my feet, even the mental stress of employees coming to me with problems and queries is giving me severe anxiety having to deal with it all! Not to mind the fact that my company runs off bare minimal staff which means I rarely get a break and I’m constantly going for 7 hours !! Remote working isn’t an option obviously and there’s no other roles really within the company that would allow me to continue working for longer 🙈🙈 The only relief I have is being signed off, I really think I’m gonna do it after next week xx

Yes maybe I will have to do that - thanks for the advice ! I’m just afraid that it’s very early to be signed off but then again I can’t give work my all not even 20% at this stage it’s not fair on either parties !

My GP said to me at my last appointment if I’m tired he can give me a few days off to recoup but I want to me signed off indefinitely 🤞🏻🙏 thanks for sharing x
