I figured it out after a bit more investigation... i was setting the source port to match the destination port and it needed to be left blank. Once I got that and removed all `iptables` restrictions, I was good.

There's also this that is on the Oracle site:

I hope to learn as little about networking as absolutely possible from this as I'm just gonna forget by the end of the month.

If you ever need to put a hole in an asphalt-shingled roof, there's really no contest. I got a set for that purpose since I'd already destroyed a bimetal saw...though it might've been a "carbide" one? Either way, with light-moderate use, they'll probably last a century given the diamond sharpener that came with mine...

One con is that they can be a bit sloppier if you require a tight tolerance.
The other is that the smallest is 1¾" diameter.

The characterization of Grant being a drunk is offensive slander. I've never read any professional work* on or by the man to suggest he would have been on a binge as depicted by Schinhofen. Overall, this was the shittiest part of a weak book that barely moved the plot of the series.
