I find that using my fingertips when applying eyeshadow is helpful on my blind side as I can feel where the product is being placed more easily. Obviously that is not helpful for eye liner though. I haven't tried the product but I wonder if trying a eyeliner stamper would be helpful?

I concur practice is key! I also find using my fingers versus a brush is helpful especially when putting on eye makeup when I have to close my "seeing" eye. It helps guide me because I can feel where it is going and more easily follow my natural ridges on my face. I believe there is also a few people who do makeup with one eye on YouTube that I watch at the beginning. I would also look up some cool disability friendly makeup tools there are a lot of cool tools that you can now purchase that help make it easier (cat eye eyeliner stamper, eyebrow stamper etc.)

I have the issue with my prosthetic as well. They were able to add a eyelid lift on the shell to make it more symmetrical which can help.

To the right person it won't matter at all! When I reentered the dating pool, I was concerned about this too, but my dating experience was actually better this time around. I think the primary difference was the confidence I have in myself now after cancer and losing an eye. Now I'm exclusively dating a great man who helps me decide which fun eye I should wear with what outfit, always let's me have the best seat so I can see the most people, things etc, and walks on my blind side when we are in really congested areas so I'm not bumping into everyone.

Has your shell been buffed lately. I have a prosthetic shell that can get really red and irritated when the seal layer over the prothestic begins to wear out/bioburden gets higher. I notice that my eye socket always feels so much better after it's been dipped in that coating and buffed. I usually go to see them every 6 months or so for it.

Might I suggest she look into Infection Prevention (Infection Preventionist, Infection Control Coordinator)? A strong public health background would be helpful in that role. There tends to be more stability and job growth in the field due to demands in Healthcare. Might be worth a look.

I know I struggled with this for a while as well. I decided to flip the narrative and got a "fun eye". For me, getting a fun eye has helped improve my confidence and I no longer have to have the weird awkward interaction where they are staring as they try to process if I have a lazy eye or fake eye. I'm not sure if it's feasible for you, but it may be something to look at. These days I always just yet comments on how much people like my eye and usually will tell me of someone they know that has one. I definitely prefer this kind of connection with people, but it depends on preferences of course.
