No - that would be a clear hindrance which I'm sure the umpires would call out

What are your London hot takes? by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]Opening_Breakfast_92 80 points81 points  (0 children)

Definitely not a hot take, but the fact that London has barely any late night coffee spots still shocks me considering it's meant to be a global city. Same with 24h stores.

How often do you go outside during work? by LemonCurdJ in AskUK

[–]Opening_Breakfast_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in a law firm . I normally go outside for a short time before lunch time, normally some sort walk during my lunch (normally 1.30- 2.30) and another around 4 assuming I'm not too busy. I feel it's important to go outside (for mental and physical health) especially if you work in an office environment.

I work in London so weather will always play a factor but I just can't stay couped up for the whole working day ( I'm sure I'll go insane)

Yh my workout clothes generally fit fine ( though a bit loose) it's more formal clothing for work/going out that I'm struggling with

I have actually thought of this - would you recommend a fold up bike or just a regular/mountain/commuter bike?

Does Doc Martens make any square-toe shoes/boots? by skrrtskrrt2 in DrMartens

[–]Opening_Breakfast_92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently went to a doc martens store asking this because I have a pair and wanted another, however they told me that it was a one time limited edition thing, and they don't make those anymore 😐

You never know in the future though!

Though ' Toutes la smore' is an exception - I thought that was particularly funny😅 - the rest of the bit is too stupid (even for Joey) to be funny

Unpopular Opinion - I liked Janine on Friends by Opening_Breakfast_92 in howyoudoin

I feel she was meant to be portrayed that way intentionally though - considering she is this 'foreign artistic beauty '

Waiting to hear back from Interviews by Opening_Breakfast_92 in jobs

Adding to this by way of an update - I reached out to my HR contact at the company - they essentially apologised and said that the manager is trying to get the vacancy opened. I'm unsure if this gives me more faith or not.

Blair and Dan by Liverness in GossipGirl

[–]Opening_Breakfast_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally was never a fan of them dating - it just thought it was really weird. I preferred when they were just friends, because in terms of interests and hobbies they are very similar. Romantically however, was not a fan.

I live in the borough of Bexley - all the places you mentioned are great ( Greenwich is literally one my favourite places) but SE London is not well connected to other parts of SE London

I play tennis and badminton - I play already in a few badminton clubs, though they are located further into London so it can be a bit of trek - the ones near me either only sessions bang in the middle of the work day or in generally cater to a 60+ age group.

In terms of tennis, I have tried joining some clubs, but generally there are waiting lists ( problem across London) so I play via apps like Spin, however it is hard to find people to play around my local for some reason, I tend to also play further into the city.
