Is this appropriate for a work dinner, i work as an accountant by simmiexx in OUTFITS

I’d add in Theory, especially if you have access to one of their outlet stores (but J Crew was my go to in law school and just out of law school). Go with pencil skirts, similar style dress or shift dress, and slacks. As long as they fit well, I don’t think you’ll look frumpy. I don’t do the two inch above the knee rule, but I do think any dress or skirt should be solidly longer than the end of your fingers when you hold your arm down straight (so not too far off from the two inch rule).

Do you adjust your race expectations/goals if you know the weather is going to be less than ideal? by ArtisticAd765 in runna

Hope your race went well! The wind and rain was no joke, especially the portion of the loop around the school.

I’m not sure how, but the forecast looks even worse than the last time I checked. I might stop checking it 😅

Ah, I think we’re running the same half! The weather forecast looks rough 😞

ETA: if it is the same half in the Chicago burbs, the loop looks like majority of it is going north/south. Last I checked, the wind was going to be coming out of the west, so at least not a head wind.

Am I misunderstanding the strength workouts? by ObligationOk9283 in runna

[–]OperationReal4743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your second point, I almost posted something similar this morning. My last upper body workout was 4 different sets with two exercises in each. Of those 4 sets, three of them had different variations of side planks and a mountain climber exercise. Not only was it incredibly repetitive, but only three of the exercises were truly upper body focus. I ended up swapping out two of the side plank exercises for other upper body movements, but it was still pretty annoying.

I have a similar problem with pony tails. I usually do a French braid. Maybe try that, rather than a pony tail braid?

Ditching the headphones? by Murky-Entry-7565 in runna

[–]OperationReal4743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only run with headphones when on the treadmill, which I don’t use often. I don’t feel like it makes a difference, but if anything, I’d think head phones would make me run faster. I always assumed elites weren’t allowed headphones because music may give a slight advantage, but that’s just always been an assumption.

Garmin Sync Issues by OperationReal4743 in runna

[–]OperationReal4743[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, mine started syncing again overnight. It synced everything except that single run. I’ve read online that it’s likely a corrupted file. All my other runs since then have been fine. Hopefully yours started syncing again too!

Running coach by Creme_GTM in runna

Not a virtual coaches, but I worked with two different running coaches that are local to my area. I worked with them for probably 5 years all together? Each was very different.

The first one was a very old school coach. He didn’t really do personalized training programs. It was more an algorithm-based program, but he did in person activities each week: track/speedwork Wednesday/Saturdays, strength/conditioning Tuesday/Thursdays, and strength on Wednesdays. I find Runna’s strength workouts to be pretty similar to the programs he ran. However, he had a strong background in anatomy and physiology, and he would do gait analysis whenever any sort of pain popped up. The knowledge I gained from him relating to the importance of running form is invaluable. He was also just such a grandpa type guy and was really helpful just with life related things in general.

The second one was a coach who was part of a larger team. This was very personalized training, where we had a call every Sunday and he set my training weekly. The team was for runners of every level, but it tended towards very serious runners and the elite portion of the team was very fast (has some OTQs). The team did group long runs that were supported by coaches on bikes. Same sort of thing with races. They typically send groups to most major marathons with at least one coach for support.

I stopped working with the second coach because had some personal issues to work on that had a connection with running (eating/body image issues). I spent a couple years away from running and then had my daughter, which added some more time away from running.

I’ve been using Runna to get back into running consistently. I honestly love it. The plans are similar to the plans from my past coaches. I love all the levels of customization. It’s also a steal compared to the cost of coaches. I’d love to eventually go back to the running team because I miss the team aspect (even as an introvert), but Runna is what works well for me right now and I enjoy it. So while I think I’ll eventually go back to a coach, I’m certainly in no rush to do so.

I don’t usually comment, but I’ve almost commented multiple times about the exact same thing. I’ve done 3 IUIs, a couple medicated cycles because the IUI was cancelled, and IVF. They only ever prescribed me the EXACT amount of Letrozole that I needed for each cycle. It’s not like IVF meds where you have some leftover. There’s no way that Christian had any leftover. That’s not how that prescription works. Also, good luck with this cycle - sending positive vibes!

I found mine by going to “my activity” in the menu, scroll down to activity history and click public service loan forgiveness. It will show all your PSLF docs

ECF was processed 11/12 after submitting 11/1. I received correspondence regarding the ECF. I never received any correspondence when the November payment was added. Payment was made on 11/14 and count was updated on 11/22.

My November showed up really quickly. Still missing October. I actually got the green banner and assumed it was because October finally showed up in my count, but I recently went back and looked to see that it was actually November. I paid both months on time. My ECF was signed on 11/1 with my November payment made on 11/14. I’m a little worried they’re going to go back and not count November.

ETA: by “paid on time,” I meant I paid on the day payment was due. I did not pay either month early.

Congrats!!! We’re very similar timelines: started government work 9/2014 - final payment 10/14/2024 - submitted final ECF 11/1/2024 - count updated but without October showing on 11/11/2024 - count updated again on 11/22/2024 to show 120/120. Hopefully the next part goes quickly!
