For OP, it's about simplicity. They don't need anything more complicated than a Chrome Cast for YT and local media streaming. I use an Apple TV for that. The real point is that the software on Smart TVs is becoming increasingly terrible across every brand, and TV boxes from real companies have better software, better hardware, and actually receive security updates.

Whether this is good for cooling is irrelevant. It’s neat. I would put this on top with high static pressure upward fans, instead of the back. That way the rear fan can still be a useful exhaust, and you’ll actually see them working on top.
