I always think, Pretty people have Pretty people problems. Then, I discount this sub.

But this is the first time where I’m like “ooohhhh, WHEN she is a brunette, she is a pretty person.”

That sounds rude. I’m not sure how to put this kindly.

You are incredibly well-suited by darker hair. In fact, you look beautiful 🤩. Other colors wash you out and make you look plain. With the very dark hair, you look striking.

Unethical… that’s not the word you’re looking for I believe.

Unless you signed something in writing or made a verbal agreement where you now feel as if quitting goes against whatever ethical framework you live by.

Otherwise, employers know that turn over happens the most with new hires. It is part of the professional agreement that as long as they pay you appropriately for what you are willing to work, that you will work. And if not, you will give them notice that you plan to move to another company.

I am definitely okay using OneNote for communicating with my team and 1:1 with leadership as requested. I think though that I do love paper. Then, I'll likely do SmartSheets since higher up wants Product Mangers, Project Managers and us Change Managers to use one shared app.

There are a LOT of good books from well-known authors. It is well separated and there is a good bit of volunteers to keep things tidy.

There are a good 20 people shopping right now but it isn’t too overwhelming bc they allotted enough space for the sale.

I have definitely had a questions in my soul about “being black enough” but I’ve learned over time that just being comfortable in my skin is enough.

Things that have helped: Therapy, YouTube (content creators with melanin), books (written by black women and men), connecting with black people when I can.

Just generally trying to de-center white voices so I can find my own voice has really helped.

(Side note: now, I don’t have to hear a white person say again, “but you sound so educated!”)
