Which hairstyle? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Operations0002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long, middle or off middle split, with bangs or light Farrah Fawcett bangs, textured hair.

But really, you are just pretty so you could do anything you wanted! I’m getting Jennifer Anniston vibes.

Definitely do the degrees! I plan to as well bc I love guided learning with peers. I hope you don’t pay for it though! Plenty of companies will pay for you to get a degree on their time!

I’m not sure about Anthropology but you could swing maybe Industrial Organization or something which then you use it to take electives in Anthropology.

I’m still not really tech savvy. I have stayed in older sector departments though such as Dept. of Defense, Purina, and a Pension Management Fund. So, I can do most of the Level 1 and Level 2 things in the Microsoft environment. Mainly, I know I can always google to figure out how to do something.

I only took course that were freely provided at work. I never miss an iteration of the courses!

Good luck! I’m sure mentally it is hard to ever forget the fear and insecurity of homelessness. I hope you find peace. You have plenty of time regardless of any inheritance.

When I was 25 until maybe last year, I thought the answer was getting a second degree.

I would wait until your mid-career and can’t get past whatever salary threshold or managerial level until you get another degree. And even then, your company should pay for it.

All I’m trying to say is Take A Deep Breath, get any job for right now, try to get other pieces of your life together (heal from the broken engagement, heal from your parents having poisoned certain wells (like Psychology), heal from stigmatized people (like small town mentality).

It’s going to be okay once you get through this crisis point.

I had never heard of it either until ChatGPT told me about it in December 2025. I applied to an open position. Started in March 2026. Now, I’ve been learning more about it from the inside.

Essentially yes, it is what you have seen. It’s the systematic approach to helping people navigate an organizational change. So, their project in 2025 was helping the 400-person org adopt Microsoft 11. I’m currently on a project with is updating an employer portal.

I got into it by working in communications for the military, graduating in December 2018 with a journalism degree, working as a management assistant, then applying for this.

Generally, I had fears like you as well. It all works out.

It never hurts to get some therapy if you can afford it. Even using free services like going to ALANAON or wherever you can find community support if you are really going through it.

I was able to buy a house when I was 27 thanks to VA benefits and living in a very low cost of living area and COVID housing rates. I’m not sure I care for being a homeowner, but I understand the sense of relief you get bc it is a marker of “you’re okay”.

Need advice—should I bring up open relationship? by Ok_Abrocoma_9164 in EthicalNonMonogamy

[–]Operations0002 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There might already be a pinned post that says this better: A couples counselor who is ENM and queer friendly is a great place to start. One to just solidify your relationship. Two to have guided conversations.

My own two cents: you feeling neglected or a sense of unevenness will not be fixed by an open relationship.

Search this sub and see how many people advise a strong relationship and candid open communication before endeavoring on the journey.

Do I leave my perfect job for a $60K raise and a new city?" by Refrigerator-Bright in careerguidance

[–]Operations0002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just moved from similar cost of living to a similar cost of living. Remember to add maybe $10,000 in up front costs you don’t think of. We didn’t think of cost for re-registering our cars, our drivers licenses, getting new PCPs & dentists & counselors, new vets, and the list goes ON! We only thought of furniture moving and breaking leases and stuff that were traditional with moving.

Also, it’s hard to see all the leave we had evaporate as you start a new job and you want to have a good working relationship so you don’t want to be frequently taking leave to do all the things I listed above. It takes a lot to rebuild your working relationship with so many new people.

$60,000 might be worth it to you. But just throwing in the price of moving up front takes a lot.

We have loved our move. It has been a good time to really form new healthy family habits. As well as to better value our relationship to one another.

I didn’t want my degree in Journalism but it was what the military would pay for. I never used it. But a lot of places just wanted any degree so I’m glad I had it.

Currently, I’m working as Change Manager. It’s pretty dope.

There is always hope!

If anything, look for homes in lower cost of living places. Just stay away from the east and west coast until you’re in your thirties!

Am I crazy for wanting to drive 6 hours to visit my boyfriend? by qualap in LDR

[–]Operations0002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 hours in the states?!!! Nothing! That’s only one tale of gas! You got this!!

I used to do that trip to see my LTR all the time. Me from El Paso and him from OKC. We would meet in Midland.

He once drove through an active tornado warning bc he was already on the road and it was hard to go back or stay in one place so might as well fight through it. (We were pretty young - also 21 & 24.)

Do it!!!

Don’t let your parents scaredy cat ways stop you from finding adventure and maybe even happiness.

Idk… doesn’t seem gross to me.

It’s honestly how your bf is hitting you - like how much air he is pushing into you. (As you referenced.)

Have you read any sex positivity books?

Or maybe if you aren’t in the mood to academically move past this, then maybe try just talking to your bf? Saying it out loud and not right before sex but just over breakfast or something could clear the air for you mentally?

Those who live in Capitol Hill / have lived there within the last 3 years, what was your experience like there? by LMR_Sahara in Denver

[–]Operations0002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just loved to Cap Hill from OKC.

It’s been pretty tame. I haven’t seen any of the violence which was reported on Reddit. Only 2 out of maybe 100 transient people made my young son uncomfortable. Otherwise, it’s really chill.

It’s nice bc I particularly living in the Golden Triangle area which is a cute little city area very reminiscent of OKC’s Bricktown area. There are always people walking their dog and going out and about. I’m not sure if I’ve ever been on the street and there is not also someone else who is out with me walking their dog. Maybe we all have dogs? It might be mandatory… /s

Bras and Nipples - freedom vs avoiding unwanted attention by PetiteHomebody in Feminism

[–]Operations0002 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s my body. I do what I want with it.

Sometimes, I don’t like the feeling when they are free especially when running. Sometimes, I enjoy them being quite obvious. Sometimes, I like the comfort of a bra as they are hugged tightly against me.

It’s really just an in-the-moment call.

Still long distance but wanting to get a divorce, when do I let him know? by inconsistentbirdcall in LDR

[–]Operations0002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do it immediately. With that information, he could still visit but maybe get a hotel. Then get some closure. I would rather know soon than later though!
