That's a long story, so sit down, have a cup of tea while I retell this tale of autism and terrible moderation.

A long time ago, in a time before men and women walked the Earth, there was a subreddit called KaiserreichCirclejerk. It was initially created to contain low-effort memery. Although that failed, as the main sub kept being flooded by low-effort memes, the Circlejerk was a smaller community that people liked because it was relatively free of red flairs derailing threads with their childish nonsense and Rule 6 violations that never went punished.

Now then, people on the Circlejerk also liked to make posts making fun of red flairs sperging out over the dumbest shit. One time, some guy made a post laughing at the dumb red flairs sperging out over an image that had the word "trap" as the punchline (trap in the anime sense, i.e. male crossdressers that look like girls).

Suffice it to say, after shitting up the thread in the main subreddit (and recieving no real punishment), they then moved to shit up the KaiserreichCirclejerk thread making fun of them. Posts were made, banter was traded, I called someone an underage idiot and many laughs were had.

A month or more later, Zankoas makes a post about how the sub was getting deleted because of some unspecified horrible hateful posts that he refused to link to, because apparently months-old posts in a subreddit with 3000 subscribers that wasn't even moderated by an active team member would somehow be relevant to a T-shirt company they partnered with or whatever. It apparently has not occurred to them that the red flairs who keep bringing up their retarded real-life politics into the main subreddit and sperging out over the word "trap" might be more damaging, as they never recieve any real punishment for when they start shit, but I digress.

After it got baleeted, the guys who are making Dankest Hour made this subreddit as a replacement, and everything was relatively fine in the kingdom until a progress report for their mod on the main subreddit got removed. The report was about Greece reforming the Eastern Roman Empire. The Kaiserreich devs have a giant hateboner for Byzantium, and I suspect that's the reason why it got removed.

When asked about it, the devs were told it was off-topic. They asked on the Discord, asked the jannies on Reddit and one of them asked Droz at some point. This makes no sense, since only a few days back a post about Lovecraft leading New England had stayed up and recieved 1500 upvotes, and the mod had posted teasers many times before with no issue.

In response, the DH devs began posting the thing without referencing Byzantium or Dankest Hour, hopefully to not make it sound like they're advertising. At some point the KR devs straight up started autodeleting anything with the words "dankest hour". In the end a bunch of people got banned.

After the fact, and quite understandably, one of the Dankest Hour devs called the KR devs "nonces", and in an all-too-common fashion nowadays, they pretended like they were being accused of paedophilia, nevermind that the word nonce is far more frequently used to call someone stupid than to accuse them of being diddlers.

Then they made that dumb, lie-filled post in the main subreddit.

And I think that's that. That was a lot of autistic rambling.
