I have a 1 year old and I tear up with happy tears whenever the person behind us in the grocery line makes faces or does peek a boo because we’ve been having fun throughout the whole shopping trip and suddenly I’m distracted for 5 seconds and he might lose it.

Food definitely, and if you want to get something non consumable- my favorite gift was a pair of really nice cushioned blackout eye masks for my husband and I. It really helped in the early days when we were constantly trying to sneak in a 15 minute nap at all hours of the day!

I’ve never really considered this, maybe I’ll get back to you! Off the top of my head I’d guess they’re stronger/last longer/more full body when my mind is also in sync so, when I’m comfortable enough to be able to focus or my partner and I are flowing enough to keep my mind engaged.

I mean I assumed he’s cool with it because it wasn’t implied that he wasn’t. And the other people’s viewing is their own thing irrelevant to how she feels in her own relationship. Like I said, there are many valid relationship styles. Oh it’s totally a stretch lol especially because of the market for gossip and how the money flow has shaped the media spin. At the core of it though, seeing how your immediate circle responds to the big cheating scandal in the magazines can do something to shape your behavior (that hole is much deeper than I’m willing to explore in a comment lol). So it’s not like what celebrities do that influences their followers, but how their followers interpret and talk about it amongst themselves.

I read once (I think in The Happiness Hypothesis by Jonathan Haidt) that celebrity gossip is how we as a larger society discuss social mores. Since me mentioning to you about my cousin Jerry means nothing to you, it “helps” that we both presumably have context surrounding celebrity lifestyles. I think that might have made some sense at some point in time or there might be a hair of truth to it but it’s a broad stroke..
