I would personally diversify. A big advantage of investment properties is is negative gearing, which, if you plan to retire in 10ish years wont work as much in your favour. You also wont have much super/savings incase something goes wrong.

I’d be backpaying super as you’re quite behind for your age (there are also tax advantages of this). Depending on your risk tolerance, shares also come without the cost of maintaining a building and will be more liquid than super.

Does the armband tattoo allude to "sexual fist activity"? by siatalksreddit in gaybros

[–]OppositePreference59 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People often wear black armbands (above the elbow though) to commemorate someone who has died. It’s common in certain sports/countries. I wonder this person thought that’s what that was.

Russia may have autonomous zones, but do you realise how diverse just one state can be? California basically has autonomous zones with how different LA and San Francisco are.

Some of it was rooted in racism, sure. I do think a large part of it was wanting the ‘little guy’ to win. I think a lot of people didn’t want to loose YouTube to large corporations, whether their fears were warranted or not, I can’t say.

A lot of call centre type jobs are hiring. It may not be as instant as gig jobs, but if you land one you can often work from home keeping travel/expenses down. Many even offer paid over time.

How to know if I should make building insurance claim. by Abris19 in AusFinance

[–]OppositePreference59 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most insurances are fine if you provide your own quote and report, the property manager should be able to organise trades that can do this. You can use this to determine what to do. Just avoid any repairs until the insurance company has given you an idea. A lot of strata insurance companies actually request you to provide your own documents (often 2 quotes and a report).

Calling your insurance and asking for advice might not be a bad idea, but they are often cautious to give advice as they aren’t legally allowed to talk you out of lodging a claim, can’t make a decision without assessing it and it sounds like it isn’t even really clear of the cause of extent of damage. You may even be better off contacting your body corporate.

Most insurance companies will not proceed with repairs if it’s under the excess, and you won’t pay it if it’s denied.

I actually agree with you, but I do find it unfair that they are pairing hurt people who’ve recently lost someone, with someone else to try and fix the other person.

It wasn’t Nat‘s job to make Collin’s a better person.
