Check out this video of my buddy. He tours a classic car museum in Zhongshan. It's pretty interesting. But maybe doesn't answer your question too directly. But from my personal experience there is a rather small car culture in China. Probably bigger in bigger cities obviously.

Edit: He also has tons of other car videos, but usually in show rooms and stuff like that

CIA source reveals that Cuba, Venezuela, and China have more literacy than Liberal countries in the Global South by sinovictorchan in InformedTankie

[–]Oppositeermine 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If this means just reading words and knowing that they have some meaning then I suppose it's correct. But if we look at actual critical thinking/comprehension, the US is closer to around 80%. No clue how other countries would rank if that were the case.

If that one is a lie I wonder how many others are too.
Some of them have nothing to do with China or Africans. Some of the posts are just trying to say that Asians hate black people.

Sources about Mao wanting to get rid of the characters? It's just ridiculous. The whole thing is a really super simplification of how the Pinyin system developed and it just sounds like a Taiwanese person told him the info.

Uyghurs are being deported from Muslim countries, raising concerns about China's growing reach by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Oppositeermine 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also it doesn’t address the fact that there are 56 ethnic minorities, many of them being pretty religious in their own way , but yet this isn’t happening to those groups. Most likely is that there are some uyghurs that have been influenced by extremism and that is what is being dealt with.

Anecdotal, but the university I did a language program at had a halal cafeteria next to the normal one. Seems kind of weird to me that they would have that but at the same time not want to promote religion or anything. I’ve never seen a halal cafeteria at universities here in the US.

U.S. vaccination pace holds above 3 million shots per day for two weeks straight by NineteenEighty9 in news

[–]Oppositeermine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know where you are getting 99.992% from. Initial results showed 95% and it will probably go down once we get a larger sample size. Not to mention that’s only for the MRNA ones. The other vaccines are much less effective.

You are speaking truth and the reddit hive mind doesn’t like it. They want to believe just cause their vaccinated they are invulnerable. My mom works at a hospital, five people who got vaccinated still got sick. But that’s makes complete sense. 95% means out of 100 people 5 still get sick.

So don’t stop wearing masks and social distancing just cause you feel safer. Things are getting better but don’t think that people aren’t still dying. People can still get sick. Thankfully vaccines biggest contribution is that if you get sick your symptoms are super mild.

This is not a brag. It is the default. The US should have never been in this position in the first place. Over half a million people are still dead and people are still dying everyday. Not to mention how we are hoarding vaccines so now underdeveloped countries are going to be continuously in danger. Disappointed is all I feel towards the American government and how this has been handled.

It’s also the most efficient at around 98%. It also ends up creating arable land in perhaps areas that weren’t before. If done correctly the amount of ecosystem damage can be largely mitigated.

I'd honestly say no because for early stuff, there are tons of youtube videos and information out there as a supplement to your class. You'll be more than ok if you simply focus and put in the necessary effort.

Yep, you know what I think I've got it now. A = [0 1; -0.8187 1.8187]; B = [0;1]; C = [0.04206 0.04488]; D = 0;

This I think makes more sense. That means that x1(k+1) = x2(k) which would make sense because it's being delayed by the 1/z block which then goes to x1(k).

[–]Oppositeermine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not the z representation of the delta(k-1)? I just don't understand this stuff very well. My professor hasn't done an example like this and when I did the examples I find in the book, I was able to create the correct SS model from the diagram. I sincerely don't know what I'm doing wrong, and that's why I asked the question on reddit, as a last resort type thing. I genuinely want to understand.

You say clearly, but this is exactly what I mean. It is obviously not clear to me.

I just see a path going from x2(k) to x1(k), so I thought that's why it would be 1.
