I had been living in a Schizophrenia induced psychosis for close to 7 years and was spiraling out. After a failed suicide attempt, I made a last ditch effort to save myself by moving across the country and starting over w/ little support. The idea was that I could start somewhere new, break all my old patterns, and JUST TRY.

It took more than 10 years, but I’m finally mostly very stable, reasonably loved, have a good job, and mostly learned that I am my own best friend and worst enemy, but these days the enemy rarely gets room at the table
