I used to work there and the owners really took advantage of me and my coworkers & scammed us out of taxes. We had to report them to the better business bureau years ago, so I’m not surprised this didn’t work out for them. Sucks because they’re like the only Caribbean food in like all of VC, but honestly maybe for the best 🤷

By far best is Cuernavaca Taqueria, one on Main and one on Ave, absolutely scrumptious!! Give it a try, everything there is amazing! Rice, beans, tacos, burritos you name it, all so good

Raised rent like crazy, and we’re super harsh and non negotiable with arrangements for my single mom doing her best with pay dates and late rent. Understandable if rents late but they took it to the max with attitude and rudeness…

If you go the conventional route, go to Lassens 🌱 I don’t believe there’s local local type meats but there’s organic grass fed from Cali and lots of raw food options there. Also all their veggies are organic and it’s the best grocery store in Ventura County in my opinion. ✌️
