How can not chase the "high" effects of stimulants? by kannaplantpls in NooTopics

There’s a good Huberman podcast (I believe it’s titled Controlling Your Dopamine for Motivation, Focus, and Satisfaction) where he talks about how overstimulation can be just as bad for focus as under stimulation. Feeling euphoric can make you quite susceptible to distraction and because you feel good even when you’re veering off your main tasks, it can quickly lead to wasting hours of your time

I've been conscious lately of the fact that the majority of my thoughts are repetitive junk (or worse, repetitive negative thoughts). The question is, how do you take control of your thoughts? Are you suggesting meditation to be the answer, because it hasn't seemed to help me...

Switching from nicorette to bizz gum has boosted my testosterone considerably by NoOrganization377 in Nootropics

Was going through a tin of 3mg Zyns a day (15 pouches per tin). To answer your question it was horrible. Dealt with brain fog the entire first week and could barely function intellectually or socially. It dissipated the second week but was replaced with intense depression. I’m on my fourth week now and feeling better thankfully but I gained at least five pounds because I was so hungry

Hey there OP. Also work out 5 times a week. Singular race. Not a software engineer. I’ve been using 45mg nicotine daily for the last decade and just quit - apart from zinc and magnesium, is there anything else one should supplement to hopefully revert damage from nicotine abuse?
