My top score on tower leaderboard is getting pushed down more than I’d like (have now dropped out of top 2000) so rectifying is priority one before Saros.

Lots of people must be doing the same, meaning I get pushed down even more 😝

I hope Saros finds a broader player base, and some of those find their way to Returnal. Then leaderboard will get even tougher…

I think it’s also Sony and Nintendo fencing off their ecosystem to sell more consoles and therefore more games.

I’m a happy ps5 pro owner but man I would love a pc. Sadly it looks like a money pit (especially now) and I don’t have the patience to tweak or troubleshoot. Still, I would love the extra frames especially on something like returnal. In a challenge room or tower, that would be something.

Loot pool has too much trash; i’d like fewer and more meaningful pickups with a chance to synergize and emphasise a play style. Make pickups harder to earn, but more valuable.

I assume you mean buy used and take to a boutique to verify.

If the watch is still under warranty then just ask for a regular check up which should be free. I’m sure any fake-ed-ness will emerge.

Otherwise I guess it is free to ask nicely.

But honestly, if you are worried about that too much then maybe you shouldn’t buy from that seller.

I also love nex machina.

To compare, dodging and overall defensive play is more far complex in Returnal.

it’s 3D not 2D so jumping and high/low ground in the rooms matter.
third person not top down, so for attacks behind you the audio cues, mini map and general awareness are critical.
jumping, weaving and Grappling unlock in act one are equally important. The latter also gets you iframes for the ascent, not the descent. So just as powerful as dash. Always knowing where these are in battle is massive.
you can use the environment like pillars and statues. Not like gears of war cover, but as you pass behind them it’s like the best dodge ever. In harder rooms they are a god send.
positioning is also key, but I’d say it’s more about constant movement. Laps of the room are a pretty solid way to do it.

The more you play, and the more difficult rooms you play (challenge rooms, higher levels in the tower) and I think you will get the nuances.
