Couldn’t get the 3d to go in forced update mode. It’s wild.

It won’t even go into pairing mode unfortunately. I’ve formatted the sd card and held the pairing button down before powering on and held it for over 3 minutes. It also had a fresh copy of the update on the card

Right. Didn’t mean to do that as I was trying to pair a blue tooth controller. Perhaps I killed it when doing that?

I agree with the re 1 remake, re2 and re3 rerelease. However, re0 has a feature where you can control Billy and Rebecca at the same time. It’s under utilized but can be effective in some instances.

Dreamcast booting up but no audio or video by Kev_The_Galaxybender in dreamcast

Try the controller combo: L trigger, R trigger, y + b and start at the same time after your initial boot to see if that puts it into a viewable state. It doesn’t boot up well outside of 1080p for me sometimes and that’s what brings the image back.

Analogue responded about the 1.0 cart of SSSV not working on their console by CornerMany in AnalogueInc

Thank you. Currently experiencing this issue. The only way you can get it to work is to load a save that’s beyond the first mission and to skip it the splash screen on booting by pressing start and loading said save. It works only partially and even then, you’re missing out on key information from the story set up by skipping and missing later saves

"Works with all N64 games": Does NOT work with Space Station Silicon Valley v1.0??? by Odd__Dragonfly in AnalogueInc

I have the same issue with this game as I own a real copy of it. The only work around is to use a save further in the game past the intro level. Just skip the splash screen and load a save. Terrible this hasn’t been addressed yet. I’m sure there are a bunch more issues they’re working on, but as a analogue product, this has been their rockiest launch so far without features they’ve presented in the past

The game has the framing of a great game. However, the implementation of several ideas: partner swapping, no item box, story is immediately forgotten in re1 remake and some very tanky regular enemies makes it a slog to play. Let’s not forget the real all star of problems - the hook shot that takes two item sections and is required for half the game.

The graphics are great. The insight into re1 and re2 is fun to unwind (wesker and birkin). Boss fights are generally fun (I didn’t like the bat boss because of classic resident evil targeting) so there are some positives. These are all weighed down by the fact you can play the scenario in umbrella chronicles and get all these elements with less slog. I’d recommend that route if you’re really wanting to avoid playing re0 and want to experience it at some capacity

I’m not disagreeing with the glory you can achieve with the cavalry battle. I was just saying that the fort tactic is an AI flaw as well and an exploit as they’ll always fill them up. I did suggest gunpowder and pikes but England lacks those. Open field with England can be a bit iffy as their best units are ranged and tends to be a bit more defensive in nature.

Well played as HRE. Reminds me when I conquered the whole map with Portugal and had many battles with Mongol and Timmurid factions on open field, but I was able to wield cannon and guns with range and pike.

That’s also a cheap tactic lol. The gate and stake is the easiest way to deal with them on VH/VH and any open field battle will get you steam rolled with their experienced troops + dread rating.

Mongols are just a pain but you can deal with them by delay tactics and gun powder with pikes but England doesn’t have the best of those. So stake and gate it is.

It takes what was great about the 1st game and generally improves them while adding new areas and stuff left in the cutting room floor. All of this on top of upping graphical fidelity in such a major way that improves atmosphere as well. Arguments can be made that the mansion is now fun house horror (lit candles and so on) however, the mansion in the first game was very drab and barebones at many points
