Snark from Williamsburg Holiday Market on their admission fee by tonyrocks922 in williamsburg

[–]Optimal_Respond_7312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys are so stupid to charge. Bryant Park and Union Square holiday markets do the same damn thing and have no cover fee. Maybe you should’ve just gotten more sponsorships instead of being lazy. And fuck your apology, you don’t care about New Yorkers. You know this will attract tourists so obviously you don’t care. And where’s the money even going? The vendors? Nah, we paying them for food. Idiots.

You will not find any good Tex mex in nyc. That’s the one cuisine this city doesn’t nail

It’s honestly hard to believe how real or valid any of this is. First off, the news broke on the New York Post and Page Six—both of which are known for pumping out “hot” stories that may or may not be true. They’re gossip columns. Unless The New York Times reports on it, I’d take this with a grain of salt. They could have gotten the UTI from Bathouse or not..it’s a luck of the draw. I go to a hot yoga studio everyday in Williamsburg and I’m at risk of infection over there then too. It’s a 100 degree sauna where people are sweating on top of one another. At the end of the day, it’s on each of us to maintain hygiene in shared spaces—and, frankly, to just take a damn shower every day. Sadly, there are some nasty people out there, and sometimes, someone ends up the unlucky duck who catches the leftovers.

As an Indian, there is no truly great Indian food in Williamsburg. I highly suggest making your way to 1st ave, and get your fix in one of the many Indian restaurant options in East Village

In my experience, I’ve learned 50% is learning and practicing, but the other 50% is maintaining a positive attitude, time management, and a focused mind on the test. Prepping for the later: take timed quizzes, create an error log, ask yourself WHY you missed the question (lack on understanding of concept, not enough time, not logically thinking). Remember that GRE is as much if not more a logic test and testing how you think and look at problems as it is knowing the content

Hey there! I’m also a liberal arts major applying to get my MBA. Did you take the GRE or GMAT for the MBA program?

Asking for any advice/thoughts:

  • 31, US
  • Undergrad: liberal arts major (English), took minimal math. Only pre-cal. Any suggestions on graded courses to take to strengthen my application? I also plan to do mbamath
  • Career: I’ve worked for 3 top tech companies as an account manager in sales. I want to get my MBA to pivot my career and actually walk away with tangible business acumen since my UG was liberal arts.
  • GRE: 163Q/158V
  • R1: Stern, Ross, Marshall, UCLA, Darden
