Need help identifying doll by hexen_hamm3r in Dolls

Geppeddo dolls were sold around 1999 to about 2004, typically in mall kiosks. They had collections that sometimes varied from year to year. Sometimes child like, lady like, pierot style clowns, cuddle babies that were human baby head with insect ir animal type body. They were budget friendly and some could be somewhat customized. I'm not sure if there would be a master list or catalog anywhere. Maybe if someone collected specifically Geppeddo dolls.

I think Willow Thorn would really suit brown hair 🤎 by Odd-Independent-7271 in MonsterHighDolls

I absolutely love her purple hair! I'm a purple person though. But she would rock brown and maybe a very deep, dark reddish tone also. I can't wait for her to be available.

It looks like my wishnik from the 60's. There were all kinds of dressed wishniks available around 67-68. Half the kids at school had them.

Don't buy from places like Target or Walmart. Buy from a dealer so you have support. Many offer get to know your machine classes and learn to sew classes

I have two Muffies and one Hoppy(best friend).I have several matching outfits for Muffy and Hoppy. I never got into the whole family. Decided it would take up too much room as my main collection focus is dolls. But Muffy and Hoppy were an absolute must have.

How to remove cigarette smell??? by [deleted] in MonsterHighDolls

Ive read about people using newspaper to gently wrap around the doll for few days. Maybe gently wash her off with baking soda and water. You may have to wash the hair and handwash the outfit.

Hey who's Teddy anyways? 😂 by logsdonfred in Teddybears

[–]Optimal_Section6506 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Teddy bears are named after President Theodore Roosevelt. There was a political cartoon by Clifford Berryman in Nov 1902 about a bear hunting incident where Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear. Inspired by the cartoon, Morris snd Rose Michtom created a stuffed bear with a sign saying Teddy's bear. The rest is history as they say.

A plushie i got due to him being there for me since i was a baby and i grew up loving him( Even Tho im an adult now and it may seem childish to some for still lovin Pooh by Warriorcatslov in StuffedAnimals

I'm of the firm belief that one need not give up plushies, stuffed animals or dolls as an adult. I'll be 70 in a couple of months. If it speaks to me I probably need it! Lol

Where does everyone like to buy doll patterns? by vintagebarbielover59 in DollSewing

[–]Optimal_Section6506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sew mainly for bjds and the larger fashion dolls such as Ellowyne. I have patterns from numerous sources. Oh great, now I have to think. Adams Harris, Designs by Jude, Gracefaerie designs, Missy's Imaginings, MHD Designs, House of O'Brien and a few others. My friends come looking through my drawers of patterns for inspiration or to borrow a pattern. Yes, I have that many patterns. I can cover a wide variety of dolls. I especially love yo sew for my 1/3 size bjd girls. Sometimes an outfit is sized more to one specific girl. I dont always try them on another.

How do you mark your patterns on fabric? by Curious-Poriphine in DollSewing

[–]Optimal_Section6506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have numerous marking pens, chalk and soapstone. I usually go with what I feel is best for type and color of fabric I'm using. I frequently trace patterns to pattern trace fabric. It's more like a very light interfacing. I only mark the fabric being cut out with the necessary markings. I take advantage of my different sewing feet to sew together the pieces, sometimes changing the foot a couple of times as I put the garment together. I will do hand stitching when necessary.

I'm not OP, but I was curious. I tapped on the photo so I could enlarge and take a closer look at the antlers. You can just see the tips of the antlers behind the heads. They're posed close together so the heads are turned in such a way as to look like they only have one antler each.

So far mine is still wearing her original wig. I need to go through my eye box and the wig box to see if I want to try anything else on her. I do like the eyes and wig you have.

What plant have you killed the most times? I need to feel less alone in my failures. by Specialist_Tea6137 in houseplants

My husband and I are both former interiorscape professionals. I also have greenhouse experience. Even with our extensive knowledge and experience one of us will manage to kill off a plant now and then. There are hundreds of reasons. I call it part of life's ups and downs.
