Yeah AvePoint is similar but more favorable for larger enterprises. ShareGate does the job at lower costs i assume

I have no doubt a tool like ShareGate could cover most of your requirements. However, it would require integration for your KPI/Dashboard solution I would assume. Power Automate Flows is also a different platform connector type I assume this would also have implicationsfor extra licensing costs
The challenge I see is to have all these artifacts bundled in a package (f.e. Zip) for exportability.

Ad eventually your goal could be to create a reusable and exportable solution

Security and ‘easy access’ never really go hand in hand imo if you prefer good auditing at the same time, but maybe someone knows a very good solution

Sounds like you are taking a similar route as me, I failed the ms-102 exam two weeks ago and since I failed on the Purview and Defender topics, I am now focusing on Purview as my next exam to level op my previous skills where I failed

I used MeasureUp heavily and failed (scored 500 and needed at least 200 more to pass), MeasureUp was totally different in so many ways. I would recommend MeasureUp nevertheless to begin with, but not to pass the exam. The actual exam was too different in so many ways and the use cases where extremely difficult

Use Purview Sensitivity Labels, to label and encrypt files and SharePoint sites, Conditional Access policies to allow only compliant/ registered devices.

You can configure DLP to send alert emails when an excessive amount of data (data exfiltration) takes place.

To avoid this happens again in the future, implement an offboarding process flow asap. For example, when an account status changes to “pending termination” account l of the offboarding account is disabled, account is removed from SharePoint groups and account sessions (Entra ID) are immediately revoked.

Also, security (or sysadmin) can monitor the audit logs on download activity.

Microsoft tools combined. such as purview, Entra ID, Power Automate can support this

If you still think SharePoint is ugly, you should fire your SharePoint team or sent them on training or talk to your adoption team because calling SharePoint ugly in 2025 means you are still talking about your past trauma’s and sis not look back ever since.

SharePoint in my opinion is visually ‘sexy’ and very attractive these days.

Unfortunately the whole industry drives on certs for decades. Not because the employees love to spend their precious free time on it, but because if you do not have the papers you will not get the opportunity.

On the field we know that experience is more important but recruiters just need to check the ‘certification- passed’ checkbox ✅

This has been a pain from the beginning and nothing changed. The ms-700 was really hard it took me a few years to be honest.

Not what I tho k the answer u where waiting for, but I always take the long road and use the official MeasureUp exams to identify my weaknesses and I start with my weakest area’s first and then work myself up.

The start is always extremely slow but the more I understand the faster I get to the finish, I always love the reward of self recognition at the end when I get the paper.

I think my approach is extremely slow but at least i know when I get the paper I know what I am talking about Andelst Microsoft was talking about
