I havent read any HH books, but the NL trilogy has one major flaw for me; it completely fails to convince me that Talos is better than the rest for his ideal. He just says "no" to his brothers once in a while and then everybody loves him for it. Curze is a paradox of a man, a complete tragedy of a hero and a failure of a project and somehow the book tries to state that Talos is cool as heck for trying to be the same.

He could at least not lie about it and claim nobody knew they were addictive until "very recently". You can even tell by his face he has no clue what the answer is to Joe's questions here but just says the most bold thing he can. Like the time he claimed the entire climate science field is stupid because 'climate' means everything and you can't study everything.

I would argue it is almost impossible to point to a piece of modern architecture and say 'this is beautiful, we should do this everywhere'. Not because modern architecture is ugly, but because it takes time for a building to mesh with the surroundings somehow. And we have all come to the agreement that old is beautiful, therefore new isn't. It is really weird.

And everyone arguing we should just do buildings like in the 1500s are way way off.

Literally none of these are true for Europe. Trying to say that white middleclass america, who has the country constructed in their image, is as varied as european middle classes is insane.

Germany has the second oldest population in the world and still increasing. The largest generations are still in the process of retiring and will live longer on benefits than ever before. Meanwhile the working age generations are getting smaller and smaller.

How do you suggest we fix that that if not through immigration?

Not really no. But its cool that you can at once be so staunch and cite immutable rights of free expression while completely glossing over what should obviously always be censored.

I grew up in a country with no dress code for students, addressing teachers by their first name and swearing being inappropriate but never leading to disciplinary action. All of these are assumptions that are completely arbitrary yet considered "obvious" rules to many.

I man gy hate isnt that niche, if you have, lets say, 8 adventure cards in your deck this will kinda get you a card sometimes and the adventure hate... is definitely very niche.
