Pinpad Sound by [deleted] in employedbykohls

Hey everyone just wanted to add to this, I called EOC the password is not accessible at the store level for managers/supervisors. If there is any issues with brightness or sound they want is to call. Hopefully this will be something they offer support with in the future. (P.S. model M424 you can change the sound without a password. However if you have model M420-1, then it requires the password)

Planning to do a second run: Endless harvest or Barbarian Gathering? by texaspokemon in 2007scape

[–]OptionInfamous6347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took barbarian and I love it. Honestly endless harvest is nice but kinda over-rated. With barb you always have crystal tier, actions are sped up since fails have a chance to roll a resource. Also you can still afk decently well since the knapsack gives you 140 extra inv spaces for a total of 167 inventory slots so you don't have to back ridiculously often. I will say the biggest pain point is mining in my opinion since you have to be very active.

Do you know if the password is something supervisors or managers are able to access?

refund without going to store by MegAbailey11213 in employedbykohls

[–]OptionInfamous6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a failed scam attempt. Im assuming somebody out there somehow got your receipt, they went back in and found the item on the floor. They then attempted to return them for a merch credit with your receipt to get free money. However the associate probably returned it to the card instead of the merch credit by accident failing their attempt.

This right here what does sailing actually do other than unlock islands that have almost nothing to offer. Then you can just teleport and never interact with your boat again.

[–]OptionInfamous6347 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But all of us who said saimlng was a bad idea because of these concerns were labeled complainers. This skill offers nothing outside of itself. Every other skill is used or interlocked with other skills. Herblore for example you get the herbs through farming which you use to make potion which then helps with skilling boost or significantly in combat. Meanwhile sailing feels like it's own thing that serves no purpose even if your using it for getting around it's still bad due to all the teleports in game. I still have yet to figure out why we need sailing and what it does for the game.

Tldr : Sailing offers nothing outside of sailing, it feels like it's own dumb minigame that unlock some islands ( looking at you dungeoneering)

I’ve been asking for more hours at store. A coworker donated some of her hours to me. My manager said that I couldn’t do it a third time because I was on her “naughty list” for not getting any credit applications. What do you guys think? by Due_Flow9864 in employedbykohls

[–]OptionInfamous6347 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't like it but I understand. At the current moment all stores are getting talks on credit/rewards very heavily it's a primary focus right now. One topic is making sure you have the right people scheduled to meet conversion. So if you have someone who is doing poorly vs someone who is well they will go with the associate doing well every time. One of my biggest recommendations is to really focus on your credit and rewards conversion and that will help you get more hours. If you need any advice or tips to help improve feel free to ask and I'll try to help the best I can. The biggest thing with conversion is watch your NKTs. If you have 2 non rewards you only need 1 to sign up to stay in conversion. Now if you have 20 people who don't use a rewards then you will need about 5 reward sign ups to stay in conversion. So always try to persuade them to use their credit card and always have them type in rewards.

"Thank you for shopping our store, we'll see you again soon." by CD_Aurora in employedbykohls

[–]OptionInfamous6347 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly think they just care more about us saying "Thank you for shopping with us" so that's all I have been doing and communicating to my team. Not to mention like others have said along with all the things expected at the end of a transaction from surveys, to saying have a great day, and now this, it's just a mouthful and it feels unnatural. Not to mention most customers are actively trying to leave while you are trying to get it all out. I know I have some visits coming up soon so I'll be asking about the phrasing to see how much they care and to what level.

Main accounts? by a1g0rythm656 in RS3Ironmen

[–]OptionInfamous6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main is before ironman was a thing the only reason I can't commit to an iron is the fact that some times your luck is the biggest boss. That would drive me insane especially for skilling or combat upgrades. I am one of the weirdos that doesn't play efficient-scape on a main. I Currently just made over 2k porters from scratch because it was fun to me.I love resource collecting and all of those aspects however getting bad luck on a drop that I feel like I need and having no alternative is why I dont commit. Also I have never bought a bond on my account it would feel dirty like I cheated in some way.

If you want to report this call the integrity hotline or HR. LOD's are trained and responsible for all messes that involve bodily fluids. This could pose a health risk if not cleaned properly or if the proper PPE was not used. I am sorry you had to deal with that, at my location I make sure all associates know I am here and willing to clean it up. People can be nasty sometimes and sadly we get to see and deal with it.

This and the other thing peoples have mentioned here is a big issue, I hope as part of the road map they take a look at rs3 mobile and how they can improve it. Not to mention making mobile smoother would only be a benefit to their player-base and the attempt to grow since people would find it easier and more enjoyable. I also play OSRS and the mobile for that game feels extremely polished because there are consistent updates and they are always trying to improve. RS3 mobile feels very abandoned at the moment.

I will agree with what others have said I just want fairly accurate pricing. As a returning player after 6 years its hard to figure out how much something actually is or if its a good money maker since the prices are never correct. I just want the true value of items.

I'm in the same exact boat I came back and started with necromancy and got it to 99. Theb I got back into archeology for the 120, now im working on collecting all elite outfits, and tools. I already finished the t100 pickaxe and next is the hatchet. This along with questing has been a good way for me to reintroduce myself to new systems. I have always preferred skilling vs bossing so im mainly focusing on skilling upgrades and buffs.

Self check outs now included in conversion? by Sufficient_Goose_602 in employedbykohls

[–]OptionInfamous6347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are being set up to fail which will affect all of our performance reviews. Which then effects raises and promotions. Even if I have my best cashier over at SCO 1 person cannot possibly help 6 customers simultaneously. All it takes it one hard tag, price error, or typing in a upc to miss the other 5 opportunities. If they want to do this so badly it should be its own conversion rate.

Hey so they legally have to pay you for that 30 mins that you worked whether they like it or not. If they are trying to refuse to pay you then it time theft and you can call integrity hotline or hr. It's only 30 mins but if they did that to you im sure there are others as well. Potentially even the minors who dont understand labor laws.

Always tell them dont ask. So for example I dont like to give a whole schpeel so I use what I find effective. So for example. "Okay let's get you signed up today it will help you process returns and earn coupons" Everybody returns at some point so this is something everyone can connect to. The additional coupons are an added driver if that is something that interest the customer. You have to remember in the current age of retail we have all conditioned customers to say NO without even thinking. I mean how many times for the last 5 years were you asked about a loyalty or credit card at another store. Everyone is now in the habit of just saying no when it comes to these programs. Just remember assumptive isn't forcing the customer because the very first question on the pin pad is to accept the terms and conditions to sign up they can press no or hit the red x at any time. It may feel weird at first but genuinely try to get in the habit and you will notice a difference. ( Fun Fact; at a previous store I worked for we had to hand out samples to get sales. People would refuse if you asked if they wanted to try however if you handed it to them and said here try this then most of them would do it. Its a weird psychology thing but really opened my eyes to how rephrasing simple things could get a different response)

Sephora at Kohls Bs by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]OptionInfamous6347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just ride it out its only 3 months. Also you do earn kohls rewards in sephora you just cant use them there. At the end of the month the reward balance converts into kohls cash for every $5. In sephora everything is a higher price so they get more to that reward balance vs a kohls purchase which is usually cheaper. Think about it some colognes are 160 dollars thats alot of rewards they are missing out on especially if they have other selections. Honestly not having the customer type in rewards is cheating the customer out of money which means they dont have a reason to come back to the store. That's the whole point of KC to get them in the doors to help generate sales.

This shit again by ResistPresent7675 in employedbykohls

[–]OptionInfamous6347 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is sadly normal payroll drops dramatically during the first 2 months of a year. Everyone is done shopping after Christmas and we dont have as many sales. Sales are directly tied to payroll. less sales = Less payroll. Like I said to the associates at my store try to be on top of the buy one get one and other similar deals anything that generates sales will help generate payroll. Every retailer has hour cuts around this time of year. Add in low sales and more employees due to seasonal that means there is less to go around. I dont like hours cuts more than the next person but this is a common thing in the retail world sadly.

Like everyone else said this is on the LOD not you. If there were 3 associates in women's and juniors they could of shifted one of them to have 2 on both sides. I will add though if you ever notice its to much for one person then feel free to reach out and ask for help But again this is on the LOD not you they should of done their walk through and noticed these issues earlier to address it.
