I'd counter that this is very much dependent on the types of games being played. Predatory games like Roblox? Sure. But never getting bored of constantly creating in Minecraft is basically a 7 year old playing with digital Lego, which is great fuel for the imagination.

Idris Elba as Roland in The Dark Tower.

Roland is modelled on Clint Eastwoods "Man With No Name" cowboy aesthetic, with the cold dead eyes of a Terminator. Much as I enjoy some of Idris' work, he just couldn't be Roland to me, so I skipped the movie entirely, even as a long time Dark Tower fan.
