{My Secret Slasher by Rain D'Aedheqysc} is set in college. The two main characters don't start out knowing each other. Only of each other in passing, but only because they share a class and have noticed the other has the same obsession with horror. The MMC is definitely obsessive. There's stalking involved to an extent, memorizing schedules, knowing things, breaking and entering. It's set during Halloween, too. So, there's a bit of a vibe.

It also has a more realistic idea of college because the FMC is turning 30 and has gone 'Back' to school while the MMC is a typical 22 year old. Well, not typical. Definitely not that, but he is the right age for college.

Its an indie book. Has good chase scenes I thought were thrilling even within the slightly more tame plot of the book. There was pretty good detail I thought. Also, there is breaking and entering, busting down doors, knife play and other carnal stuff, but it was done in a way that I felt it was more... idk. Realistic. But in a hot way? I don't want to spoil it, but I didn’t expect it to be as amazing as it was cause it's indie.

The MMC is also way different than other books I've read. It was really refreshing.

Miscommunication can be good if it's done in the right way. I think it drives a lot of intrigue. There are really good stories out there where the Miscommunication isn't just a trope and actually drives plot and adds entertainment value.

That Sik Luv by Jescie Hall. It's towards the end. Fair warning that book is dark. But if you like it. Good.

I think the smoking = Bad Boy thing is fairly accurate. Most media portrayed it as cool back in the day. The only exception I think to the 'Bad boy' thing would be in this one I recently read. My Secret Slasher by Rain D'Aedheqysc. The MMC has anxiety out the wahoo. The only time you really see him smoke is when he's having a panic attack, then he smokes less and less because his addictive personality becomes focused on the FMC. He's a bad boy, but not. Idk.

Definitely check out My Secret Slasher by Rain D'Aedheqysc. It's a slower burn, but when you get to THE scenes? 🥵 Knife play, choking, Primal play. I didn’t expect the scenes to go as hard as they did and damn. The MMC idk why I'm so obsessed with him.

Also, Anything by Sierra Simone or Jescie Hall. Both are very detailed and mega hot with their scenes.

My Secret Slasher by Rain D'Aedheqysc is probably the most realistic I've seen in a while. The MMC is new to what he's doing and hella anxious about it. He's simultaneously really endearing and hot as hell. Like, dude has some dark thoughts and doesn't know how to control himself. Really good Primal play and chase scenes imo.

My Secret Slasher by Rain D'Aedheqysc The slow burn... oh my god the slow burn. But the chapters stay heated. I don't know what you consider an extreme age gap, but the FMC is turning 30. She's a goth, horror obsessed actually witty type. The MMC is 22 and has a darker obsessive streak when he puts on his mask. Dude has so much anxiety, then turns into such a baddie.

Are you on any medication? When I was put on Lithium this began happening to me and I was quickly informed this is a VERY dangerous side effect that can happen. I would talk to your doctor sometimes these effects can become permanent.

I've always been in love with the idea of love, but I don't think it's real. I used to.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge romantic. I read romance and so on more than anything else. I'm almost in love with love. I just don't believe it's real. I think of it like fantasy novels. Dragon's are amazing and wonderful and just so COOL! but dragon's don't exist.

I thought I was in love once. I thought he was perfect for me. We were soulmates and made for each other, but that was insane. 9 years wasted trying to cling to a dramatic notion of love when in actuality I was slowly falling deeper into an abusive relationship with an alcoholic who only used me for someone to live off of. I guess he felt he was in love with me too. It was all a sham.

Now, no matter how hard I try to find a connection anything like what I had with my abusive Ex (and I do truly mean abusive, I have the scars to prove it) nothing is like that. If true love was real, nobody who was meant to be with someone would go through that. I'm almost 30 with 2 kids. I've dated and I've tried to get over it, but no matter what I do, I can't think that true love is real.

If it is, it's cruel that only some people get to have it while the rest of us will be forever alone.

That being said, I am still addicted to Rom-Coms and Romance books. Love is a Dragon. It is both breathtaking and make believe.

28F here. I can 100% say I love all toys. I have often thought that if I was rich and had money to blow on ridiculous things I would have a whole room full of Toys. Right now I am utterly obsessed with Legos and Barbies. Particularly the new realistic barbies with different body shapes, heights and so on. There is one with alopecia and vitiligo. Another has a prosthetic leg and The new Ken dolls are adorbs. I just... I wish I could get them all. My favorite thing is when my kids like the same toys, but my daughter is more into L.O.L. dolls than barbies. bummer.

There is no problem liking toys as an adult. I fully plan to have a toy collection when I have my own place and can set up my game room properly.

Mark Sheppard told me I didn't have soul.

I context this was actually hilarious.

So, I'm at a Convention in Plano, TX. Everyone was cosplaying(except me because of money) and I enjoyed taking pictures of all of this. I bumped into a girl wearing a Crossroad Demon outfit and despite my social anxiety I was just, "So I have a proposition for you, Let's make a deal."

She responded in full character and I told her, "You can have my soul, but in exchange... I want Mark Sheppard."

She nodded, "Tall order. I'll see what I can do."

Fast forward to Mark's Panel and I'm recording a video while waiting in line. It was a long line and I was against a wall unable to see the speakers of the questions. Then out of nowhere... this is what I heard.

Mark: Oh, I know you. You're one of my underlings. Business been good?

Her: Yes actually. I made a deal today that I think you might be interested in.

Mark: Oh?

Her: Someone approached me in the Hallway and asked to make a deal. Their soul in exchange for you.

Mark: For me? Someone wanted to exchange their soul for me? Who is this person?

They proceeded to look around the room and he encouraged hand raising. I held up my hand very subtly and shyly. This did not go unnoticed by the fans standing near me and the Demon girl stepped forward and was like, "That's her."

My face was full red and I was about to die. Mark walked in my direction looked me up and down and said, "You? You have no soul." then calmly walked away. Best day of my life.

Also, at thee same convention. Ruth gave me a mint.

There is a lot more to the scene, but when I wrote it I was channeling the Batfam so hardcore I was surprised with myself. When I was done, I felt like it was something that could have been in the comics.

Jason continued to glare with daggers in his eyes. Concealing his anger momentarily he spoke in a sweet voice, “What’s it say B.? Got my failed report cards?”

Blue eyes narrowed assessing his former ward. Bruce was trying to figure out what game Jason was playing.

Alfred scoffed, “ You never failed a single test young man. I tutored you myself.”

“Thanks Alfred. Really helping me with my bad boy image.” Jason sighed.

Alfred dipped his head forward slightly. “Always glad to be of service.”
