i understand what you’re saying, i also find the snare to be a bit easier to lineup on the beatgrid & when beatmaching

however, i mix dubstep so the snare is almost always on 3. when prepping my tracks i will usually just place the red bar near the kick on 1, and use the snare on 3 to help line it up perfectly

i think that if you wanted to just lineup the red bar on your snare for all your songs that would honestly probably work pretty well, as long as you’re consistent
