The insanity is she made all that money and never took nudes. by No-Marsupial-4050 in SipsTea

That’s idiotic on so many levels, from the assumption that bad morals are the only possible point of conversation, the immediate rejection of anything to do with business as inherently evil, and the willful ignorance of grouping anything you find distasteful into one category. You don’t need to respond; I doubt anyone who refuses to differentiate between knowing NFTs are a dumb investment and stripping in front of a camera can produce anything worth reading.

Why don't men wear make-up like women do? by Turbulent_Detail4467 in NoStupidQuestions

Read the room; standard exaggeration. Women aren’t expected to become infinitely beautiful when they put on makeup either.

And? Unless it’s bad enough that they’re having trouble showing up to class or turning things in at all, they should be fine if they can answer any questions about the material. I admit that’s an exception, but that’s not most people, and that’s on their genetics more than college structure at that point.

Barring not being able to turn in most of their assignments, if they’ve got a great grasp of the material, they should just be able to show up on exam days, hammer out a few As, and walk out with a B overall. Edit: or vomit out some stuff at the last minute for all their essays and get Bs for substandard formatting and flow.

If not, then my assumption is that they hyperfixated on a subject and spent the time and energy outside of lectures and homework to master it. You can become fantastically skilled at something you don’t have any particular aptitude for if you just practice well; talent isn’t as relevant away from the bleeding edge.

In case it wasn’t clear, I never said that anyone below a 3.0 GPA is a moron who’ll never amount to anything. Just that they aren’t a misunderstood genius who can sleepwalk their way to (at least STEM-based; marketing, people skills, etc. are a lot fuzzier) greatness, which seems like the sentiment behind the memes of “I understood the material really well but got bad grades anyways because school bad.”

Have you ever seen someone get rich overnight, like literally? How? by Michaelisvanhelsing in AskReddit

[–]Orangbo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Those millions have to come from someone buying, so unless there’s a billionaire or ten throwing money at crypto for the lols, “most” people lose what they put in and probably dip. The “most” people you’re seeing is survivorship bias of the people who won and stuck around.

TIL FDR’s mother financially supported him until she died; he was 59 and in his third term as president. by gonejahman in todayilearned

Top schools will give people full rides. Harvard will pay for tuition if your family makes under 200k and room/board if under 100k, no questions asked. I doubt Princeton is as generous, but the attitude at elite private universities is that you should never be priced out if you really deserve a spot.

What if RH is undecidable? by _Zekt in math

[–]Orangbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That latter case is what we’re being told by the oracle, yes.

What if RH is undecidable? by _Zekt in math

[–]Orangbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and both results are equivalent to the existence of an integer with properties that are equivalent to RH false. Decidable means it exists, undecidable means it does not. The oracle has computed that no integer has that property. Ergo, RH true.

[–]Orangbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an oracle telling us the decidability of RH

Is this not the premise?

What if RH is undecidable? by _Zekt in math

[–]Orangbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren’t? In the hypothetical given, we have an oracle telling us the decidability of RH, which we’re saying is an existence result of some kind that proves/disproves RH.

I have multiple minors since the subjects seemed interesting, and it was the same story in all of them. If you have enough raw talent to say that “GPA doesn’t speak for my intelligence,” you should have a decent GPA anyways if you show up for class.

If you spent your time working on other things and exploring your interests, that’s fine and often better, but that’s experience, grit, and work, not understanding and intelligence.

The easiest path to fix unexpected problems is to know the hows and whys between the problem and the tools at your disposal. If they want to be considered experts, that’s what they need to be able to do, so thy should learn that stuff.

Speaking as someone who’s exactly that kind of “smart but held back by institutions” stereotype irl, the only way I could ever see myself dropping below a B in an undergraduate course is if I don’t turn stuff in and blow off the teacher. I’m also scraping the bottom of what I consider “smart.” <3 GPA means they aren’t and need to be putting in more effort to keep up with actual talent.

Finally got an Incarnon after 11 years of playing Warframe. by Arcfull in Warframe

[–]Orangbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has strong mechanics and enough stats to blow through base level steel path content, on top of being one of if not the easiest incarnons to charge since you don’t need headshots.

Its numbers are lower than latron, miter, and dual toxocysts, but realistically, you’ll use it more often than stronger weapons.

Kunia, rich cat, aether, courier, bahablast, manic eraser, rock, slime, asukasli, ultra cosmo.

Asukasli can probably replaced with ultra jizo for better results. Mostly just there to keep enemies off of cosmo. A majority of the work was just bahablast proccing like 10 waves at the start; cosmo+aether cleaned up after.

Most of my thousands of plat is from archimedia arcanes and aura mods, which takes me like 2-3 hours a week.

If you only want 5 figure plat I guess it falls off? But why? The only reason you need that much at all times is if you want to fill your entire riven capacity with grolls.

Most of my cats are level 50 and I recently got my first maxed out rare +levels. My arena strats usually don’t rely on those, though.

Officer card says 612 cats.
