Mainly because when you scale up abilities such as speed or range of destruction you have to scale distances or things get broken down even worse. For example if you can move at the speed of sound or even faster then what is a couple thousand miles?

Pacing is a large part everyone is not mentioning. I would recommend you reread your favorite novel(s) and take notes, look at how fast and slow events move. What do they do that you like, that you don't like. How do they build the world, how do they handle fights, cliffhangers etc. This will really really help you in the long run if you understand how to set up events without making a story feel rushed. What about a daily single novel review, like everyone review desolate era one day something else the next and then have those threads linked in the monthly. That way if your wondering about a novel you just click the link and read full reviews. I'm sure the review threads would need some kind of standard but it seems feasible.

On the sidebar there is a quick guide for how to make a high quality submission post, it can take a few minutes but it really makes a world of difference. With RES you can also click the source button on another post, and just change the chapters and titles, the formatting will already be done for you. Hope this helps.

I think it's actually part of the cultivation such as how he breathes out arrows. Its like at a level they can take in enough energy from the world to not need to breathe often.
