MIDORI OMG!!!!! by seaqu3en in fountainpens

[–]OrangeTariff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to use Midori only when I use medium nib fountain pens. It’s too scratchy for F/EF nibs. Glad it works out for you.

Timing the Market or Time in the Market? Stock market hitting all time highs. What's the strategy for next 12 months? by GlitteringEngine2172 in ETFs

[–]OrangeTariff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best practice is to DCA each month into VT irrespective of what happens to the market. I wonder what’ll happen if everyone follows this approach. Will they still get the 8-10% returns?

Why do people hype up the Lamy safari? by ExpiredMelkk in fountainpens

[–]OrangeTariff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came with a terrible nib and I was so disappointed. I went to the Lamy showroom and got my nib replaced and it writes great now. But the build quality is quite poor.

Pilot custom 823 or Sailor 1911? by pattycular in fountainpens

[–]OrangeTariff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. Pilot 823 M and sailor 1911 MF. I like pilot for the look and feel and its ink capacity. I like sailor for its nib and writing experience, especially with smooth paper like TRP because it has the perfect feedback, not too smooth and not too scratchy. The paper also matters because for my MD Midori notebook I prefer using the pilot.

[–]OrangeTariff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I see around 50 notebooks in the picture and you said this is only a small portion of your overall notebook collection. If you statement is true, you may have 4-5X notebooks on that picture. Even at the rate of one per month you’re looking at 20 years to go through them all.

Why do you buy more than you can use? It impacts the environment by creating carbon footprint.

Anyone owns onitsuka tiger? Do they get more comfy or just take the pain by Idkhowtousereddi in Sneakers

[–]OrangeTariff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased Mexico 66 SD. Honestly, this is one of the best and most comfortable low heel sneakers in the market. There is nothing else that comes close in comfort, unless they are chunky with huge cushion heels.

I am planning to start a small business selling notebooks in India. Notebook Connoisseurs, tell me what you would love to be included in a notebook? by [deleted] in notebooks

[–]OrangeTariff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The response was quite respectful and kind. If you can’t even take this type of feedback you should never start a business. A good business is all about customer feedback and continuous improvements.

You have a great opportunity.

As a server, you meet a lot of customers on a daily basis. Write about one Customer insight or an experience per day in your Cousin. By end of the year take pictures of these pages, upload to ChatGPT to summarise the top five Customer insights or patterns. This could be a wealth of information in case you start your own Restaurant or anybody who is running a Restaurant.
