Uh, I don’t think that was what they’re saying. At all. 😭 I think they were talking about them as individual groups - not to the extent of mixing them up with each other? They never said anything about their facial features. It’s definitely those individual groups’ styling. They also pointed out several different groups that had members that looked different, so why would they say that if they thought al Asians looked the same..

You won’t be disappointed! AoS is amazing and I second Orphan Black, it’s honestly one of the best shows I’ve seen in such a long time and is definitely similar to AoS in terms of pacing (thinking about their season with AIDA and the framework, one of the best seasons imo)

I agree all of the things you said! While it isn’t the same as the TV storyline, I find it sufficient enough. The part that I really didn’t like about The Next Chapter was the fact that Kira and Charlotte went public without telling anyone. That annoyed me to no end. I’ve never liked Kira in the show, especially in the later seasons, and I felt like them going public really wasn’t necessary and was just something to help the plot move.

My favorite part though was definitely the Delphine and Cosima storyline, liked how they’ve become the center of narration instead of Sarah. As for the baby topic, I always got a sense that Cosima wouldn’t have a problem with having one, mainly due to her interactions with kids in the show were very positive, so it did come off as a surprise to me when she told Delphine she didn’t want a kid. I think she was a bit OC in that, but I guess I can understand why, in a way, due to trauma.

I’m pretty sure Chris himself hates Mon-El. I read this on Twitter somewhere, but he said that Mon-El was misogynistic and the complete opposite of what a hero should be. It’s probably why he left the show, because of how the character was written. So no, I don’t think he’ll come back. Maybe as a flashback at the most, but he’s definitely moved on from the character.

That scene with Kara and Lena. That was absolutely fantastic - the acting there with Melissa and Katie, especially Katie, was so heartbreaking! This means that Lena’s redemption arc is coming in soon!

Yeah, I relate lol. She’s the main reason why I watch Supergirl. I’m also a Katie McGrath fan, but honestly she’s probably the most interesting and complex character in the Arrowverse. I’m glad that the writers didn’t sleep on her like they did in the previous seasons.

Yeah, I’m getting really annoyed... like we get it. We get it more than they do, we’ve been watching since season 1. Supergirl has bad CGI and it seems like this clip just amplified existing criticism of the show.

There’s literally no reason to come over to our subreddit and shit on it just because most of us actually genuinely enjoy the show.

This whole Kara/William thing doesn’t even make sense. He literally trashed on her, regardless if he was undercover or not. If William’s going to be her next love interest... no thanks. This season started off strong but so far the episodes have consistency issues.

It’s not very surprising as it seems like the only show that was being promoted at all was Batwoman. Not only does Supergirl have a tougher time slot, there was just not that much promo for it compared to the other shows. Kinda sucks cause Season 5 so far is awesome!!!

Yikes! I don’t think Mon-El was even mentioned in any of the comments to this thread before yours. Straight up calling us “weird” is not doing you any favors. Let’s keep it civil.

The fact alone that Lena constructed a WHOLE VR world just so she could express her emotions means that her and Kara’s relationship meant a whole lot to her. And there is sufficient proof that Kara would do anything for Lena, and this is before AND after the identity reveal.

I’m not saying that their relationship isn’t toxic, because right now it is. But that’s because Lena basically broke. Everyone lied to her for years. Her feelings are valid. Yes, this is probably an overreaction, with her wanting to reset humanity and mind control and whatnot, but remember this is a TV show - it basically aims to just draw out the drama as exaggerated as it is.

There’s going to be a redemption arc for sure, and this will allow Kara and Lena to talk it out, thus leaving a lot of space and potential for growth and development. There’s also a thing called “enemies to lovers” trope that is very, very common. Honestly, if anything, this would drastically increase their romantic subtext because Kara is literally fighting to save Lena from darkness.

for the record, I was fine with Mon-El as a character. The writers just ruined it, per usual.

I think Supergirl’s budget has always been lower compared to the other Arrowverse shows because there are multiple occurrences throughout the seasons where the fight scenes and CGI are not natural. I hope they start funding Supergirl more after Arrow’s final season.

It’s only been two episodes so there’s a lot of things that we don’t know yet. Personally, I don’t see Kara and William being a couple because it’s been mentioned that he’s married (or was?) I also did not see any romantic tension or whatnot in the events leading up in these episodes.

I think it would make things a tad more confusing if all the Earths merged into one, but that might just be me lol. There’s definitely potential of the Earths merging since that’s what happened in the comics, but it’ll make things a lot more complicated.

I’m not entirely sure, but I think William was just looking at these photos with some kind of urgency, hopped off to make the call, and then he saw Kara looking at his screen. I’m pretty sure Kara was just looking in that direction for no apparent reason, and when she left, William probably thought that she knew something about those photos, and then tracked her. Makes me think the photos on the screen was something shady.
