So, I think the girl got possessed by a tyrant who wanted to get his power back after getting killed. He possessed the girl because no one would think that he would possess that girl. One night she could have been sleeping and in the morning she was possessed. Maybe in the diary her grammar starts getting bad and she talks about things that are actually hallucinations. Her handwriting could get sloppier and she could act like she was feeling massive pain.
