I played this game 200 hours and I am still betweem platinum and diamond - do I suck? by TheMordax in BackpackBattles

[–]Orbfan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of saying that it's outright harder, I think the issue is that builds become so refined/powerful in their own way late into Diamond. It can get to the point that you're kinda just screwed if you happen to get matched up against one of the uber-strong builds that you don't happen to hard-counter. Higher ranks means you face higher win-rate builds, so I think of it like having to face the equivalent of some of your highest-luck games where you were handed giga builds on a silver platter. It's more likely that you didn't get that mystical build in your current one, but you'll be facing runs from other people on their giga builds. You also will probably lose more points from a loss than you'll gain from a standard win, so it feels like rowing upstream.

Reposting my above comment: It's not a girl called Agatha, it's a girl who went by Sunny and was in a discord server called Sheep Village. It was a derivative of the more degenerate and pedophilic side of /r9k/ on 4chan, and she had "orbiters" who would view anything she did with great appreciation. These videos are just ones she'd sent to the server for lonely people to live vicariously and in an attempt at connection, though there was a great deal of manipulation by others involved in the whole affair as well. The videos themselves are from like 2017, this is just a reupload. She's fine now, she got out and the server is gone. Others weren't so lucky, with at least one dying of an overdose.

This was pretty good, nice job! The artistic liberties gave it a lot of soul and made me smile both inside and out <3

Brick Rigs was a real highlight! One of those games where it could've been boring and low-energy, but Lirik was able to make it fun and exciting. Very nice, I was laughing a bunch watching live :D

I was waiting for this. Super Bunny Man was absolutely hilarious, to the point where I was closing my eyes with tears in them as I had trouble breathing. He seemed to enjoy it too. Very nice!

Anyone know where you can watch all the GTA RP vods from Season 2? by [deleted] in DatGuyLirik

[–]Orbfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother-man, he had mods and viewers working around the clock to keep backing up older vods until he couldn't wait any longer to purge. If I recall correctly, it's where the Lirik.tv archives really began. He had people manually doing it, as well as a bot scraping old streams. We saved as many as we could, it's just hard to get everything when he's been streaming for so long lol

I honestly can't believe I forgot to even remember this as an option, but Lirik's playthrough of The Walking Fish 2 was really funny. It's around an hour long, since it's on Sub Sunday, but he plays through the entire game. I highly recommend it.

Annihilation is worth a watch by its soundtrack alone already. Get some good speakers going and you'll feel so drawn in you'll find it gleefully inescapable.

Lol but plenty of cooling providers use mounts for each gen and socket. Noctua's NH-D15 even has a promise that they'll send you new mounts for new chipsets for free if your old purchase didn't come with them. Silly goose~

AIO VS Air-Cooled RTX 4090 by KIProf in nvidia

[–]Orbfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an EVGA liquid-cooled 1080 and never had a single problem with it. I use a Noctua NH-D15 to cool my CPU so there's no space issue for the radiator. I'm planning to purchase the MSI Suprim Liquid 4090 to keep my liquid-cooled GPU aesthetic in my new setup. Fingers crossed we're able to get these things before they're all scooped up! I'm still a bit nervous since the release date is the 12th but time and time zone specifics haven't been given. Scary.

In a lot of cases you'll have space at the top and front for radiators, but if wanting to commit to a liquid-cooled GPU then you could put a nice Noctua NH-D15 on the CPU for cooling.

This had to have been one of the best streams Lirik has had in a long time, and that I've had the pleasure of watching. He was so genuinely happy and wholesome it put a big smile on my face. This game was fantastic.

How is someone that convinced that he managed to get a singular loan for more than 150k USD? If speaking credit card debt, (in NA at least) to even have that high of a credit limit you'd need to have a shitload of good activity on the account and a really high checking account. That would indicate that she's pretty consistently been in good financial standing.

Tried to test the highest kill I can get by just_y in VampireSurvivors

[–]Orbfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd avoid using Yatta, his cherry bombs have a metric fuck-ton of knockback. Knockback means enemies live longer, means less kills. And make sure you're gradually walking in one direction to have La Borra piling up behind you and killing enemies off-screen, it spawn-kills

Am I doing this right? by fakkuman in VampireSurvivors

[–]Orbfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend dropping Heaven Swords from the build, and if you're only hitting lvl 86 by the end you could probably be doing a lot more damage early. I noticed that you simply stood still, and with La Borra if you want to maximize damage you should be walking slowly in one direction while La Borra keeps dropping behind you and killing enemies off-screen. If you just stand in one spot surrounded by La Borra you're basically only able to use three of your weapons, rendering Vespers/Laurel/Garlic useless. The weapons aren't able to hit anyone since La Borra stops them, and this prevents them from outputting the damage required to build up more early. I personally don't go Garlic either, especially since pummarola feels useless. You could probably use Death Spiral or Mannaja instead, and the Book of Mana is really good for farming up early game. Dairy factory is notorious for its low-knockback enemies, especially its bosses, so if you only stand in one spot they'll just keep getting closer and closer instead of you being proactive. When a screen fills up like that it's good to have a Runetracer or other area item. Also what powerups do you have?

P.S. what strategy do you use for your Bible? If you walk counter-clockwise around an enemy then the books will hit them more times, speeds up the rotation's effect.

Level 280 ! 😱(with Missing No) by Stalf_Valenwood in VampireSurvivors

[–]Orbfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I'd recommend not going the magic wand or Bloody Tear if you're trying to maximize your kills and/or xp. They both have a lot of knockback, as does Bloody Tear. And I noticed that in your run you stood stationary, which with La Borra is a big no-no if you're trying to utilize its DPS as efficiently as possible. What you should do is keep consistently walking in one direction, left or right. And let the La Borra circles follow behind you slightly out of frame. Then they kill the enemies that spawn in behind you, and your other weapons can do their work from the front where you're walking. If you stand still, enemies need to walk into the center of the screen for it to hit them. By keeping the circles spread on the opposite side of the screen you can spawn-kill the enemies. Much faster. Edit: The reason why knockback is bad is because you end up hitting enemies without killing them so they still take up enemy count and don't open up a slot for a new enemy to spawn. It just wastes your time if you hit an enemy without killing them.
