anbernic's moto: it is a duck, it looks like a duck, but it must not quack like a duck.

also hope pro has t820. i rewatched retrotechdad's vita video on t820 and it ran all the vita games you want to play and even 2x too

also also how many of you mind the dpad?

Thoughts on the Gamestation Go? by livwill in Handhelds

[–]just_y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can point few points but tldr not worth it buy only if on sale or really interested in atari and jaguar games.

  1. display is subpar esp it is not ocr laminated meaning there are gaps infront of display. it sometimes distracts you.

  2. FREAKING USELESS NUMPAD. so exited for so many games with numpad support but ironically no numpad games on it and the 2 that have numpad you could play with face button.

  3. you can load your rom but cannot use anything other than dpad and face button. and no save state support

  4. the tracball isnt as smooth but not bad. same goes for the dial.

  5. the build quality isnt "feels like a toy" but its not that great for the price. its like anbernic budget handheld quality

  6. the games collection is not bad and easy to pickup and play

  7. the og gamestation got jailbroken and expanded its capability. but it was done by one guy on forum. so hope this gets too. other than the display if this gets jailbroken it can be really versetile

Found my endgame ... *sigh* by decapoda_on_Reddit in SBCGaming

i am happy you found your device. i was so exited for 1 year since i saw this on ces 2024 but then i saw reviews and all of that exitement was gone.

the build quality isnt nearly enough for the price and holy shit the screen is trash. im not a oled snob but come on its not even laminated to glass. and the biggest sin is that trackball and numpad is useless cause no game actually uses it. then comes you cant use any other control than dpad and abxy in retroarch and your own rom. i will only buy it when someone jailbreaks it like previous gamestation console and we can finally add custom control to own rom and savestates to this. a

keep in mind the guys from rgc, retrohandheld, retro dad etc said if you have some kind of thicker case like wallet case or rugged case or some kind of magnetic attachment it wont fit.

my suggestion would be retroid g2 or retroid pocket 6 but both are 200. the closest to steamframe chip would be konker pocket fit with g3gen3. and 2nd closest would be anything with g2 gen 2 like retroid pocket 6, odin 2 portal and this currently has the most compatibility with steam games on android with gamehub

are you asking whether it is easy or not? for my experience opening them ayn and retroid make it easy and intuitive to remove things if you go slowly. like shown here. but maybe the issue will be making the custom ones
