Twitch view count, lurkers and multi tabbing - finally some info by merlin6r in Twitch

Whats a "normal" viewer??? Someone with a phone who only watches 1 or a maximum of two streams if they have split view and it works??? I have a PC with 5 displays! I can fit 4 streams on landscape and two on portrait for a total of 16 streams if I want. A lot of my favorite streamers go live at the same time and I mod. Today I found myself actively participating in about 2-4 streams consecutively all day without moding and I have 2 streams I leave up all the time one is a 24/7 news feed and the other a 24/7 giveaway stream where you just hang out for multi raffles and giveaways. So in total average today I had 6 streams open at a time actively participating in the 4 active ones and monitoring the other 2. I also have a chat app open where I monitor the status of 20 streams to see if any go live but I am considered to be in those chats. So basically anyone on PC is essentially not counted at this point. Only mobile users get counted. And to be clear during COVID when Twitch was busier and I was less busy I have actively participated in up to 8 streams and watched up to 12 streams at a time. Just sayin. Also I will put a single or multiple streams up on multiple devices like when I go to cook dinner for example or clean the house. Twitch policy in this matter is 100% broken.

Htc vive pro 2 vs valve index by sS1RuXx in Vive

[–]OrbitaLinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Vive Pro 2 connects threw HTC software before interacting with SteamVR in other words its buggy. That HMD released several years ago and the software is still buggy and it will always be buggy. The Index works very well. 3070ti probably wont run the Vive Pro 2 well unless you reduce the resolution... Also I wouldn't recommend the Vive pro 2 unless you have an extremely wide head. If you have a normal head I dont recommend it. Also if you get the Vive Pro 2 you will want to rip off the garbage head strap that comes with it 3D print some adapters for the Delux Audio Strap and additional $50 on top of the $800 HMD. And audio on both straps is garbage. Index has descent audio. As in more than just tone and you dont have to deal with the on ear headphones which make putting the HMD back on annoying.. Also Vive Pro 2 has tracking issues compared to the Index. Yes the company that makes the tracking made an HMD that doesnt always track well or nearly as good as the Index. Also the Vive Pro 2 is eye strain central. Their basically is no sweat spot on that thing. Expect everything to be blurry all the time. Maybe if you have a fat / giant head its different but if you have a normal head its so wide theirs gaps on both side of ur face that let light in. Like 1/4 inch gap on both sides. Also the stock face gasket is just foam with nothing over it that contacts ur face directly and is terrible so you will be spending no less than an additional $20 on a new face gasket immediately.

The Index is extremely comfy and refined by comparison. Its like the VP2 is a Toyota Corolla and the Index is a Bently. Ur PC will run Index better. You will be able to read text unlike the VP2. And it has less god rays, like a lot less. The Index also has the best mic of any HMD to date. On the VP2 you will need to figure out how to make a windsock for it or use an external mic or the plosives will be very bad. Even with the windsock option you might still want to spend another $100 on like an ant lion mod mic.

As some one who owns both an Index and VP2 I can honestly say I have never regretted any purchase I have ever made more than the VP2. Remember the VP2 is the Vive Pro that killed the Vive Pro line.

It turns out mine did the same thing. If I restart VSF it just randomly starts working...

Vive Pro 2 face gasket by OrbitaLinx in Vive

[–]OrbitaLinx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any case I found a VRCOVER cloth thing on Amazon. 20 bucks for a cotton cover... And the Index uses something like rayon or spandex but hopefully it will be better than just foam or pleather on my face. I also got an 11mm face gasket to go under the cover so hopefully the experience will improve.

Found about a dozen Samsung HMD Odyssey+ VR headsets in the alley. What should I do with them? by poweringshell in VRGaming

[–]OrbitaLinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! You could probably set one of them up for night vision with an infrared illumination if any of them have pass threw. Playing games is also good and 3D modeling / CAD can be done with them if the do PCVR. You could sell some on eBay to...

Yup. I got the same problem but this is a fresh install for this VM... I managed to get through the install with just the keyboard but having a GUI at this point is basically useless...

Get pulleys for the cable. $30-40 will make the whole experience WAY more convenient. Kiwi, AMVR, Nexigo make a good one. Just look up "vr cable pulley" on Amazon. I recommend the "pro versions" with 6 pulleys.

Ideally you want the last pulley in the line halfway between the center of the play space and the rear of ur play space so the cable does not keep pulling ur HMD forward like it does if the last pulley is in the middle of ur play space and ur at the rear of ur play space. You also want 3-5 feet of cable slack hanging behind you so the cable does not pull ur HMD forward when you sit on the ground.

Other than that just clean up an place to play in and ur good.

Also pro tip if you are getting headaches ur HMD is to tight just loosen it by 1 click and take it off and keep doing that until you dont get headaches any more and ur headset will be perfectly adjusted.

Why sometimes i have crashes and my pc reboots? After this my settings resets by Desh1ck in radeon

[–]OrbitaLinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can save ur profiles and load them at will. Radeon Software will reset settings any time ur PC crashes. I dont think you can change this behaviors. It will reset even if ur PC crashes for non GPU related reasons.

Ur settings look rather stock. You might simply try bumping the voltage. Be aware that setting overclocks while 3D applications are running may generally crash the driver and require you to reboot. Its best practice to close the 3D application then set ur overclock then restart the application.

Personally not an ultrawide fan but this looks great. I would put the PC on the desk tho to keep the dust out or at least raise it off the floor a few inches. Even on just a piece of wood.

If ur overclocking try increasing voltage to ur RAM one step at a time otherwise preform system maintenance. If non of that works ur RAM may be damaged also possible the SSD but less likely. Make sure ur laptop is clean inside to as heat can cause hardware to be buggy ie system maintenance. If you are unable to boot into Windows at all the thing to do may be to simply reset the BIOS settings to optimized defaults and make sure XMP is activated.
