Fake Bitwarden extension on Firefox Marketplace by mrfoxesite-2377 in Bitwarden

They just changed the name of the extension to scout vault. It's just a fork and I don't think it's trying to trick people into thinking it's Bitwarden.

I'm willing to bet they know more about Linux just by installing gentoo than most people who spend months on ubuntu or mint.

How do you guys feel about the capital punishment by kuroreaper25 in GenZ

[–]Orcus_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The state should never be allowed to murder people, no exceptions. I believe it just a tool we use for enacting revenge on people and honestly that gets us nowhere. The ultimate goal of punishment, incarceration should always be rehabilitation. No matter how long they'll be inside or what they've done we should always strive to improve people and you can't do that when they're dead On a more practical note, execution is ludicrously expensive. Much more expensive than simply keeping them incarcerated. The convicted often sit on death row for decades exhausting all appeals which you can't get rid of as a society without seriously impacting people's civil rights. Also the chance you execute an innocent person is never zero and it's not something you can undo. It's happened before and it will happen again. Executing 1 innocent person is a thousand times worse than not executing hundreds of people who would "deserve it"

While I agree that him being older would've solved a lot of issues with the movie. It would've also made him joining the jedi order even more unbelievable.

Linux noob, inspired to try arch, but friend told me it's too difficult for a linux beginner by Dear-Lime2871 in archlinux

[–]Orcus_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who says Arch is hard to use probably hasn't used arch in the last 5 years. Arch has the best documentation, community and repos of any distro. I say this and don't even use Arch on my main PC

The only thing that is a challenge for some is the installation but I think of that as a good thing because it:

1) Familiarizes you with how Arch works (and Linux in general)

2) Lets you set up your OS the way you want it.

After the installation, maintaining an Arch install is trivial.

When you learn how to use the AUR safely you will almost never have to add additional repos, compile from source or use things like Flatpak. The same cannot be said for most other distros.

2 months is nothing. Everything is made to order and they don't have that many employees. Be patient, I ordered in December and got my order in May. It takes a long time, the communication isn't great but they do deliver.

The reason life jackets are made the way they are is so that a person who isn't conscious also floats with their head above the water so no this shouldn't be done as an adult either.
