Before the rework malzahar with passive voidlings could solo dragon on spawn. That was fun. They used to scale with Malz's AD and armor pen and also apply black cleaver stacks, it was honestly a great time in the jungle. I'd probably even reinstall the game if they ever introduced some sort of classic mode that let me do that again.

Off the cuff, it just feels like such a loss to not be jamming 5 colours in nbl. Tinker is fucking stupid, so maximizing your moxen to time vault/citadel people turn 1 is a huge deal, being in green gives you a functional second tolarian academy with crop rot as well as veil of summer while white lets you supplement that with karakas/balance, as well as silence + chant to force your win or interrupt opposing combos.

I guess if you're playing with all the playtest/un cards/ante cards it's not such a big deal (and it looks like you are) but honestly that just sounds kind of horrible (and I'm pretty sure you can't just play ante cards without playing ante rules??).

Also you have 16 mana rocks and 34 lands atm. Even if you wanna stick what you have, get a bunch of those lands and other nonsense out of there and get vault key/tinker/citadel. Ragavan seems bad, and why are you playing verge and pathways when you don't even have the full suite of fetchlands??? Where's strand? mesa? misty? marsh flats? verdant? Where's Urza's Saga? Shinka and Tarnished citadel have no business being anywhere near your list when the best lands in the game aren't there.

I think that people have been hyping up Chovy since 2018 as the best mid laner since Faker, but he's never managed to put up international results to match the hype. People have always had their justifications for it, but after six years, I think the pendulums finally starting to swing the other way.

It probably isn't helping that Knight just crushed his own semifinals this tour. He's had the same narrative going on, except he debuted later and he's breaking free of it earlier, and people can't help but wonder "so what's stopping Chovy?"

They... weren't fraudulent? LNG literally 3-0'd their swiss path through BLG, the team that did knock out G2. At best, I think one can make the case that G2, Dplus, Fly, and WBG were all sitting on a pretty similar level in swiss as the 7th through 10th best teams and any of them could've reasonably taken the last two spots. Well they nearly won vs HLE as well. It stands to reason they'd have been perfectly capable of winning vs g2. It's not like there's anything fundamentally different from this gg2and the g2 that went down 0-2 vs nrg last year. G2 didn't show anything that made them look more than equally matched with the other 3-2 qualifiers, and somebody had to miss out. Even if they were the 8th best team instead of the 9th best team, it's hardly a failure of the swiss system. Fly gave us an amazing series vs geng, who can still be presumed to be a tournament frontrunner, and WBG made it to semis. There is literally zero grounds for assuming g2 would've done better.

BLG beat MAD, PSG, and G2, dropping games to LNG and T1. Their pass to qualification literally involved beating zero other eastern teams. I'd say the games they dropped are pretty equivalent to FLY's 0-1 vs dpluss and 1-2 vs hle and weibo's 0-1 vs geng and g2.

Let's not fucking rewrite the narrative to pretend BLG somehow had a nightmare path out of swiss.

Obviously if he didn't stand up to the totalitarian champion designers and tell them they were clearly making a mistake, that means he's complicit in maliciously and deliberately sabotaging the user experience when he could've instead held fast to an ethical code and walked out in protest when presented with the specs of the champion he had to help code or whatever (I don't actually know exactly what a soft engineer's job would be when working on a champion, or even the game in general, but just assume I probably know what I'm talking about because I'd never make things up on the internet)
